Robert Palmer's popularity finally took off when Addicted To Love, which was produced by Bernard Edwards of Chic and featured members of the Power Station, reached number one in the US with vocal arrangements by Chaka Khan from Riptide, released in 1985. This title is a soundboard recording of the following year's San Diego performance on July 26th! The opening Discipline Of Love is so cool it gives you goosebumps! I'm also happy to hear the Power Station songs, and the joy of hearing a live version of Communication! He also plays Jermaine Jackson's Tell Me I'm Not Dreaming. I Didn't Mean to Turn You On, which has a different arrangement from the studio version and is cool, Murderess, which anticipates Prince's Let's Go Crazy Reloaded, Stupid Cupid, a cover of Connie Francis with Robert Palmer's style, Some Like It Hot, which is the strongest funk rock even though there is a little noise at the beginning, and The System's cover You Are In My System, which is also amazing to play live. The hard Addicted To Love, the pop number Hyperactive from Riptide, and all of them are great songs and performances that you'll want to listen to. And the bonus includes Some Like it Hot and Get it On, which are the only original members of The Power Station, Duran Duran's John Taylor and Andy Taylor, and Chic's Tony Thompson.
