RITCHIE BLACKMORE'S RAINBOW, led by new members, delighted fans with the album "STRANGER IN US ALL." This '90s-style RAINBOW continued as a band from 1995 to 1997, and their many fulfilling live performances (currently Ritchie's last hard rock live) still attract many fans. I am. Unfortunately, during these three years of activities, they only appeared in Japan once, in November 1995. This Japan tour can now be said to be as meaningful a live performance as RAINBOW's Japan performances from the '70s to the '80s. This work "HUNTING GLORY" combines a total of 3 performances, the most special Tokyo 2 Days and the final day of the tour, into 6 discs! This is a must-have for fans, as you can enjoy the entire 1995 Japan tour's major live shows (including changes in the set list)! This work includes the first day of the tour on the 11th and the second day of the tour on the 12th of the following day (both venues are Yoyogi Olympic Pool), and the final performance at Tokyo Bay NK Hall in Chiba on November 23rd. The audience source used in these is an original DAT master that is not even available among traders. Furthermore, all recordings were made with the same taper, and the relatively homogeneous sound also enhances the sense of unity of the item. These stages have existed in many existing titles even before the appearance of this work. Among them, three songs, "FLY BY NIGHT" on the first day, "RETURN OF THE BLACK" (Power Gate-160) on the second day, and "ELECTRIC EVER" (Shades-026) on the last day, were considered "already available" at the time of their appearance. These items have surprised fans with "high sound quality that surpasses that of the original." This work has a sound that is as good as those, and it's surprising that it packages everything. All three performances are excellent recordings with brightness of sound, directness, sense of separation of performances, and even more intense punch. ”). The live performance is captured clearly, wide, and with a sense of realism from a different position and perspective than other items. On Discs 1 and 2, which capture the first day, after the opening BGM "Land Of Hope And Glory" echoed, it was not possible to move on to "Over The Rainbow" immediately, and RUSH's "Fly By" was played as if to make up for it. The accident that "Night" is played is also recorded realistically. However, the mood in the venue, which had once dipped, soared during "Spotlight Kid" and "Long Live Rock'n'Roll." New songs such as "Too Late For Tears" and "Hunting Humans" will also entertain listeners with fulfilling performances that rival DEEP PURPLE and RAINBOW's famous songs. Richie's spirit comes to the forefront on this day, and every song has a high listening response, such as "Still I'm Sad", "Black Masquerade" play, and "Ariel" including a long solo. The encore song was “Burn”, but the excitement was tremendous, and you can fully enjoy the passionate live performance that can only be enjoyed on a special first day. The second day of the tour, which was recorded on Discs 3 and 4, also had a turbulent start, with equipment trouble occurring at the beginning of the live performance. The excitement at “Spotlight Kid” is the same as the previous day, but it does not go into “Too Late For Tears” immediately after the performance of the same song. However, due to this trouble, Dougie surprised the fans at the venue by singing "Rainbow Eyes" with Paul Maurice's keyboard in the background. On this day (was it due to the troubles, or was it intentional to differentiate it from the first day?) instead of having one compact solo song, the set included traditional songs sung by Doogie and famous songs from the 1980s. The listener will never get bored. “Love Hurts” melodically connects “Man On The Silver Mountain” and “Temple Of The King,” “Street Of Dreams” reminds us of the impressive final performance at Budokan in 1984, and “Stone Cold.” , the set was evenly selected from all of the band's periods, and was truly a "Best of RAINBOW." Even so, PURPLE numbers such as “Perfect Strangers” and new songs such as “Hall Of The Mountain King” do not get lost, and the listeners are thoroughly entertained until the end! On the last discs 5 and 6, the set that has changed from the beginning of the tour will surprise the listeners. The new song “Too Late For Tears” explodes from the intro “Over The Rainbow”! Fans were probably surprised by this start (the start with the same song was carried over to the '96 live). "Long Live Rock 'n' Roll" and "Hunting Humans" are in the same position, but the fourth song is another surprise. Normally, the encore song ``Smoke On The Water'' was suddenly played, leaving the audience wondering, ``What's the next song!?'' and not being able to even guess what's ahead! It was a stage showcasing Richie, who loves mischief. After that, “Wolf To The Moon”, “Difficult To Cure” and “Still I’m Sad” are the standard flow at the time, but Ritchie’s solos are all excellent and you can enjoy a lively live performance. In the second half of the live performance, Dougie's improvisation was clear, and there were many performances that made use of his individuality, including traditional songs and the closing song "Love Hurts." We will conclude the last day of the tour with a grand finale! Both maniacs who have supported Richie since the '70s and young fans who couldn't make it to RAINBOW in the '80s were all very satisfied with this '95 live. This work, which contains all three memorable performances with the finest audience source, is a definitive piece that all RAINBOW enthusiasts should have in their collection.
