From the RITCHIE BLACKMORE'S RAINBOW Japan tour that took place in the fall of 1995, the Yoyogi Olympic pool performances held on November 11th and 12th will be released as a 4-disc set that fans must listen to! This work is a complete package of the Tokyo 2 Days with an ultra-high quality audience master (both recorded with the same taper) that is completely unknown even among traders. On the first day, each song was dense and full of solos, and on the second day, famous songs were performed one after another in short arrangements, so you can fully enjoy a special live show! Richie left DEEP PURPLE in the fall of 1993, gaining the freedom to fully practice the music he wanted to make, and formed a new band by gathering members around Long Island, where he was based. I am planning to make a comeback as a solo artist. At this time, Ritchie was joined by young but talented players such as John O'Reilly on drums, Paul Morris on keyboards, and Greg Smith on bass, as well as vocalists (Candice). Doogie White (whom Knight said he found in an audition tape) was selected. At first, Ritchie was reluctant to use the name "RAINBOW," but at the request of the record company, the band finally decided to perform under the name "RITCHIE BLACKMORE'S RAINBOW." The album, which began production in January 1995, was released as ``STRANGER IN US ALL'' in September. This work, which attracted attention as Ritchie's long-awaited comeback work, impressed fans all over the world with its excellent content. The new RAINBOW tour supporting this new album started immediately after the album was released in September, and excited fans in all over Europe and the UK. Japan was chosen to conclude the 1995 tour accompanying “STRANGER IN US ALL”. Richie had left the band in 1993 with PURPLE just before coming to Japan, and this visit to Japan was something he was looking forward to. Of course, Japanese fans had high expectations for Richie's first visit to Japan in five years since 1990. As it was realized as “Rainbow”, this Japan tour was held with strange excitement from the first day. In this work, the Tokyo/Yoyogi performances that were held consecutively on the first and second days of that special Japan tour are made into a disc based on the original DAT master that will be appearing for the first time! This work will allow all listeners to fully relive the two performances that have been burned into the hearts of fans! Discs 1 and 2 include approximately 135 minutes of the live performance on November 11th, which was the first performance in Japan. The recording started about 2 minutes before the performance, and you can clearly see the excitement in the venue that the long-awaited live show is about to begin. On this first day, it is known that after the opening BGM "Land Of Hope And Glory" rang out, Rush's "Fly By Night" was played (as a fill-in) without moving on to the live performance for some reason. The listener will be able to relive the event with such realism that it will feel like they are actually there at the venue. However, when the live performance began with “Over The Rainbow,” the venue was as excited as if there had been no trouble. The excitement of "Spotlight Kid", which was performed in Japan for the first time in 11 years, will thrill everyone who hears it. The ultra-clear sound quality is also amazing, especially Dougie's vocals and Richie's guitar can be heard clearly. The moderate echo that reflects the acoustics of the venue also creates a listening experience that can only be achieved with excellent audience recording (``Long Live Rock 'n' Roll'', where the audience sings in chorus, is especially wonderful). It can be seen that the new songs have been positively received, such as "Hunting Humans", which can be listened to in a calm mood, and "Wolf To The Moon", which gets the venue excited. ``Ariel'', which is 14 minutes long including Richie's solo, is a masterpiece that can be said to be at its peak not only in performance but also in sound quality. Listeners will be overwhelmed by this! The moment when “Burn” pops out in the encore is a big highlight of this work. The sight of the audience erupting in joy from the moment the riff resonates until the end of the song excites even those of us who are listening to it (the entire performance is recorded up to the end of the performance announcement). And on discs 3 and 4, the second day of the tour (November 12th) is also completely recorded for about 130 minutes! Not only does it have excellent visibility, but it gives the impression that the taper is closer to the stage than the first day's recording, and you can enjoy the live performance with a sound image full of dynamism from the opening song "Spotlight Kid" (the song was recorded in the 1 minute range). There are some unstable moments, but it recovers quickly.) On this day, there was equipment trouble with the guitar at the beginning of the live show (as you can tell from the buzzing electromagnetic noise). Due to this treatment, "Too Late For Tears" could not start, and an unexpected scene was created in which Dougie sang "Rainbow Eyes" (albeit in a temporary manner). The live performance will be even more exciting with this happening. ``Long Live Rock 'n' Roll'' (with ``Black Night'' of course), which suddenly shows an enthusiastic performance like an encore, and ``Still I'm Sad'', which impressed the fans, are new songs but already have the dignity of masterpieces. "Black Masquerade" and many wonderful performances will knock out not only the audience but also the listeners. Another feature of the second day was that many songs that were not featured on the first day were played. In addition to "Love Hurts," which reminds you of "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?" and "Street Of Dreams" and "Stone Cold" from Joe's era, the encore includes "Maybe Next Time" and "Woman From Tokyo." And a huge performance that plays up to “Smoke On The Water”. Although Ritchie's solo is a little shorter than the previous day (there are a lot of fulfilling plays), it is a live performance that will give the listeners a high sense of satisfaction! Tokyo 2 Days included in this work has previously released excellent items such as "HUNTING GLORY", "FLY BY NIGHT", and even "RETURN OF THE BLACK", all of which have greatly delighted fans with their high quality. I have set it. This work is the definitive edition of the Tokyo performance, which has a sound quality that is as good as that, and also includes both performances.
