Rick Derringer, who worked with many big artists, was active in his own band, Derringer, from 1976 to 1981, where he played solo and as a supporting guitarist. This album combines his peak in 1977 with a charity concert in 1981. Discovered by brothers Johnny and Edga Winter in the late 1960s, he supported the Winters around the world until releasing his solo album in 1973. His talent finally blossomed in 1976, when he joined his own band, Derringer. This album showcases Rick's superb guitar work, and upon relistening, his simple, straightforward guitar playing is captivating, with a wide range of playing styles, from flowing guitar work to bluesy sounds. The guitar sound is incredibly easy to listen to. The sound quality of the Boston performance is stable and high-quality, with a timeless audio source and SBD source.
