The 2024 Japan tour, which was their second visit to Japan following the previous year, will be held for only two days at the Tokyo Dome on May 18th and 20th. The first day's performance was recorded in full for 1 hour and 37 minutes with an audience shot from an incredible position in the very center of the front row of the arena. Since it was in the front row, only the members and staff crew could see the whole live performance from a very close distance, and the digital camera footage from directly in front was clear, and it was shot with a super-large screen behind the stage in the background, so it felt like a special effects video combined with a direct shot of the members, and it felt like I was there at the scene. What's even more amazing is the sound, which is so other-dimensionally high quality that it's hard to believe it's the Tokyo Dome, and it's like a sound board. It captures the PA sound from the front row, and the cheers of the large crowd behind it are mixed in a perfect balance, and this audio part alone could be made into a CD. While the set list was basically based on the previous year's, "Whatchu Thinkin'", "These Are The Ways", "I Could Have Lied" and "Tell Me Baby" from "Unlimited Love" were songs that were not included in the previous performance in Japan, and "Kooks" sung solo by Frusciante, who reappeared in the encore, was a cover of David Bowie, and there were shift changes here and there. And of course, the performance ended with a big climax of "Give It Away", and the Japan-only memorial item reproduced the whole-hearted performance with video quality of another dimension.
