Robin "THE KING" Crosby, who founded RATT with Stephen Pearcy and reigned over the rock world as the core of LA metal, has decided to release the best video of his last show. This work contains the performance of "February 16, 1991: Osaka Festival Hall". RATT, who was popular in Japan from the moment of their debut, realized five Japan tours with five albums in their golden age. "DETONATOR JAPAN TOUR 1991", which contains this work, is the fifth. Let's take a look at the tour schedule at that time. ・February 7: Omiya Sonic City ・February 8: Shibuya Public Hall ・February 11: Yokohama Cultural Gymnasium ・February 12: Nakano Sun Plaza ・February 13 + 14: Tokyo Simple Insurance Hall ・February 16: Osaka Festival Hall [This work] That's a total of seven performances. Most of them were in the Kanto region, but the Osaka Festival Hall performance was the only one in Kansai and the final performance. And Robin left RATT after this Japan performance. They toured with Michael Schenker as a replacement, but the band disbanded. On the other hand, Robin had a sadder fate. He formed his own band, CALL OF THE WILD, but it didn't get on track, and he developed AIDS in the meantime. He passed away in 2002. In other words, this Osaka performance was not just the final performance of the Japan tour, but the last concert of the golden age of RATT, and Robin's last brave figure before his death. It was the "last brilliance" that flashed at the moment when the times were about to change. I've talked about how valuable it is, but the quality of this work blows away such preciousness. It is a shot looking down from the second floor seats in front of the stage, but even on the second floor, the arms and heads of the front row are not reflected at all. It is an excellent angle where the screen is literally occupied by "only RATT". Furthermore, the master freshness is also excellent, and there is no white line noise or tape deterioration, let alone color bleeding. You can enjoy the vivid image beauty as it was at the time. Moreover, the cameraman is quite skilled, and zooms in on each member's highlights one by one with an excellent angle and stability. When you zoom in boldly, the image quality becomes even clearer, and everything from Robin's glittering costume wrinkles to Steven's shoulder tattoo is clearly displayed. The sound, which does not give up even a half step to the image beauty, is also superb, reaching straight and bold. The clarity is clear, even Warren DeMartini's virtuosity and picking nuances. Robin's final brilliance depicted with that quality is truly a symbol of an era. The tour for the album "DETONATOR" mainly features new works and the masterpiece "OUT OF THE CELLAR", but there are also a large collection of masterpieces from all works from the debut EP "RATT" to the previous work "REACH FOR THE SKY". Although the overall balance is not as good as the later reunion, the real-time feeling of the golden age is also exuded. And in the performance, there is no consciousness of "Let's enjoy those days" or "the form that the fans want", and the pride of the active who has been rushing to the forefront is in full swing. The live performance that makes you feel every corner of the golden age, yet has zero nostalgia, is unfolded on the screen. The last brave figure of "THE KING" Robin, which is unique. At that time, LA metal was already in decline, and it was an era when the realism of street rock was valued more than glamor. The members of this work are also dressed in rough styles such as T-shirts and jeans. Among them, Robin was the only one who never let go of her shiny accessories and continued to give her fans glamorous "dreams". This work also captures her figure well. Although this is a superb rock video work without sentimentality, Robin's appearance here is still moving. Truly "the last brilliance". This masterpiece video can be summed up in one word.
