The best performance of the new RAINBOW, ``Birmingham performance on June 25, 2016,'' which Ritchie Blackmore himself says was ``the most fun.'' A 4-disc set featuring the new recording is now available! After the three performances of the new RAINBOW, Richie immediately returned to the BLACKMORE'S NIGHT tour, but he finally gave an interview and said, ``We might do more next year.'' It seems that they felt a response to the new RAINBOW, but the best part was the Birmingham performance. He said: ``I especially enjoyed the last UK show. The first two shows in Germany were a bit tense and hectic. It was chaotic. But those two shows made Birmingham go well.'' It seems that it is. We have reported on such Birmingham performances under numerous titles, but this work is a coupling of two new recordings that are different from any of them. Not only are they different, but both are 4-disc sets that update the highest quality ever. Before touching on the top quality, first let's organize the information. Let's take a look at the live albums we have introduced so far. ● June 25, 2016 UK: Birmingham performance → Recorder A: “LIVE IN BIRMINGHAM 2016” → Recorder B: “BIRMINGHAM 2016” → Recorder C: “BIRMINGHAM 2016 ORIGINAL MASTER” → Recorder D: This work disc 1 and 2 → Recorder E: Discs 3 and 4 of this work (original recording) This is the live album from the Birmingham performance that I have introduced so far. All are full recordings of the same concert. The other day, we introduced the highest quality “BIRMINGHAM 2016”, and since then two new recordings “Recorder D and E” have appeared. This new RAINBOW was "2 performances in Germany + 1 performance in Birmingham = 3 performances in total", but as expected, it was in their home country of England. It was attracting a lot of attention, and many recording artists were probably in attendance. Moreover, both are high quality recordings. “BIRMINGHAM 2016” was also said to be “the best of Birmingham performances” by collectors around the world, but both “Recorder D and E” have surpassed “BIRMINGHAM 2016”. First, discs 1 and 2 contain "Recorder D" (written as Recorder 1 on the jacket). This is a new recording that just appeared on the internet. Collectors around the world are in an uproar over its quality. In fact, the original sound source on the internet has a quality similar to “BIRMINGHAM 2016”, and the current situation is that it is not attracting much attention only because it was released later. However! Continuous recording is not the only possibility of recording. At first, we thought it was a bonus CDR, but once we started mastering it, it turned out to be an incredibly clear and direct sound. The guitar and vocals stand out clearly, and the sound is beautiful. There is almost no sense of distance that could not be resolved with "BIRMINGHAM 2016", and the glossy Strat sound is poured into your ears... On top of that, Birmingham's big chorus is also wonderful. The spectacle of “Since You Been Gone” spreading throughout the large venue like a smooth carpet was amazing! Ideal balance, as if carefully mixed with the musical sound of the soundboard. It truly surpasses "BIRMINGHAM 2016". Of course, we don't forcefully twist the sound during mastering. Just like "BIRMINGHAM 2016" and other live albums recorded on the first and second days, this is simply an attempt to bring out the potential of the original recording. However, I was completely hooked on the process. This is what digital technology is all about. The amazing CG of movies and the spectacularly retouched photos of gravure may make it seem like ``magic that can do anything'', but there is a definite compatibility between the original material and the technology. Sometimes it becomes unnatural no matter how you change it, and sometimes it improves dramatically. This work is a perfect example of dramatic improvement. The plan that was supposed to be a bonus CDR was suddenly changed to a press CD, and it was included on Discs 1 and 2 that decorate the beginning, and the best sound that everyone would like to enjoy at "Ichiban" was born. The following discs 3 and 4 are "Recorder E (written as Recorder 2 on the jacket)". This is an original sound source only for this work. This is the world's first live album, which is a CD version of the master given directly by the recording artist himself. And the recording artist is a master who is known at our store as the "British master." A master who lives in the UK and reports on the current state of British rock, including Paul McCartney, THE ROLLING STONES, Dave Gilmour, David Bowie, U2, etc. He was also present at the RAINBOW revival. Although he has a strong image of being a huge recording artist of the general genre, he is also good at hard rock, and recent family members include DEEP PURPLE's "THE O2 LONDON 2015 (Shades 616)" and WHITESNAKE & DEF LEPPARD's "WEMBLEY 2015" It was very popular. This work is among the finest in such a collection of masters. I tried mastering this as well as discs 1 and 2, but there was almost no difference. Of course, just because there is little room for improvement in mastering doesn't mean it's a bad thing. The quality of the original recording is extremely high, and even when compared to "Discs 1 and 2 of the Great Change", it is a wonderful quality that does not yield even 1/4 step. The 4-disc set "BIETIGHEIM-BISSINGEN 2016" released on the second day in Germany had clear advantages and disadvantages, but this work really cannot be ranked as good or bad. Its quality is a complete package of clarity, dynamism, and atmosphere. Although the clarity of the musical tone and the beauty of the sound are only 5 minutes from discs 1 and 2, you can feel that the extremely thick musical tone is shaking the atmosphere of the scene. Discs 1 and 2 focus on the "core of the sound output," while discs 3 and 4 record "all of the sound output." To be honest, the “grade” and “dignity” of the recording is better than Discs 1 and 2, and it is the best recording even in the new RAINBOW 3 days. “Recorder D (Discs 1 and 2)” is easy to listen to with the core of the musical tone fully exposed, and “Recorder E (Discs 3 and 4)” is the best original recording of all performances of the new RAINBOW. Both are great recordings that update the highest quality of the new RAINBOW so far. I will omit the details of the live performance as I have written about it many times, but Richie himself was satisfied with the Birmingham performance. Among the many new RAINBOW collections, this is the best 4-disc set packed with the best concerts and best sounds. Please enjoy it to the fullest!
