From the 1981 Japan tour that RAINBOW, featuring Joe Lynn Turner, conducted after the release of "DIFFICULT TO CURE", two live performances at Tokyo's Nippon Budokan were performed using the highest quality audience master recorded by Miracle Man. It will be released as a 4-CD set. Even in the 1981 Budokan performance, which is known for its excellent recording including the sound board sound source, this work is sure to become one of the new standard with outstanding sound quality and presence! During RAINBOW's Japan tour, which was held a total of six times from '76 to '84, the special presence was definitely the live performance at Tokyo's Nippon Budokan. Throughout the world tour, many highlights have been held, including the Ronnie era in December 1976, the Graham era in 1980, and the now legendary final performance in March 1984. I did. In 1981, the band's first visit to Japan after joining Joe, amidst their famous performances at Budokan, the band, which had undergone major changes, presented a fresh appearance and made a strong impression on fans. Ta. Similar to 1980, it was held for three consecutive days on August 26th, 27th, and 28th, but in 1981, in addition to various audience sources, it was typified by ``SURRENDER DOCUMETS''. The soundboard sound sources were still there, and there were many different types of items to see. Many of those previous releases were rich in individuality, but it is also true that there were few that completely satisfied fans with a single piece, such as variations in sound quality or partial omissions. This work to be released this time uses the newly discovered Miracle Man recording master directly. It can be asserted that the sound quality “definitely exceeds” the existing audience source, which has had its advantages and disadvantages so far. The two performances on the 27th and 28th will be packaged as a 4-disc set, allowing fans to fully enjoy the climax of their 1981 visit to Japan! On Discs 1 and 2, you can enjoy the scene of August 27th, the second day at Budokan. Unfortunately, the ticket for this day was lost, and the specific recording location is not clear. However, according to Taper, this day was also recorded from the arena, and the live pattern was realistically cut out. The atmosphere that gives you a bird's-eye view of the venue, the clear brightness, and the sound image that allows you to listen to the performance centering on Joe's vocals realistically is the ideal audience recording. Another great feature is that the voices of the audience don't get in the way (of course, you can feel the excitement in the venue in just the right amount). Richie's guitar is also captured with an attractive tone, and "Love's No Friend", "I Surrender", and "Catch The Rainbow" will draw you in. His guitar is amazing on ``Long Live Rock 'n' Roll'' and ``All Night Long.'' It can be said that the guitar sound is better than even the Power Gate label's "NOWHWRE TO HIDE" (live on the 26th the previous day), which is highly rated by enthusiasts! On this day, “Smoke On The Water” and “Blues” with songs that were played the day before were not featured, but on the contrary, a guitar crash was held in Tokyo in 1981, which was only on this day. This guitar crash is amazing and powerful, as it seems to be this recording where Richie's guitar is captured with a dynamic sound. (Although there are sampled sounds added by Don Airey) You can experience the smashing of the guitar and the enthusiastic atmosphere of loud cheers with a wonderful sense of realism. This scene alone is worth listening to this recording! And on discs 3 and 4, you can enjoy the final day of the tour with the highest level of realism from "Arena G row No. 70". Although the visibility is about the same, the direct feeling of the performance and the well-balanced sound image are better than the day before (also, during the performance, you can hardly hear the cheers and voices of people around you). The sound image that complements the guitar and the band's play with the atmosphere of the venue is a splendor that could not be experienced even with the sound board sound source "SURRENDER DOCUMETS", and the opening "Spotlight Kid", "I Surrender", "Can't Happen Here" Anyone will be captivated by listening to these musical tones. Of course, the classic classics are also wonderful, and Richie gives a lively performance to Ronnie and Graham's signature songs such as ``Man On The Silver Mountain'' and ``Lost In Hollywood,'' which have been given a new lease of life by Joe's vocals. . Of course, members other than Joe and Richie also showed off their fulfilling plays. Don Airey's colorful keyboards are wonderful in "Difficult To Cure," and in "Long Live Rock 'n' Roll," Roger Glover's bass and Bobby Rondinelli's drums create a powerful and tight rhythm. “Smoke On The Water” is a masterpiece, as all the members’ playing evokes hysterical excitement from the audience! We will let you enjoy the climax of the live show, a masterpiece worthy of the last day of the tour, with the best performance and exquisite sound! This '81 Japan tour (although there were many interesting titles), the presence of the sound board sound source on the final day was large, and the audience recording lacked the decisiveness of "This is it!". This work will make a difference in that situation, and will serve as an indicator that even beginner fans can clearly point out, ``First of all, the audience recording at this time should start with this item.'' Of course, even for veteran enthusiasts, the appearance of a new live source that can be enjoyed with powerful and clear sound is a must-see. This work, which is a total of 203 minutes of the 1981 Budokan climax revived with the finest master, is definitely a must-listen for all RAINBOW fans.
