The late Ronnie era with Bob Daisley and David Stone. A collection of precious audience shots will be released. Nowadays, everyone shoots concerts, but it wasn't until the 1980s that audience shots became commonplace. In the 1970s, 8mm film was the standard and the number was extremely limited. There are only two audience shots of the Daisley/Stone era of Rainbow. They are the "Stockholm performance on September 25, 1977" and the "Copenhagen performance on October 1, 1977". This work is a valuable collection of three types of footage compiled from those two 8mm films. Let's take a closer look at each video. [Stockholm performance in 1977 (plus Munich performance SBD)] The first video is the "Stockholm performance on September 25, 1977". It was also the first concert with Daisley/Stone. It was recently unearthed, and it is a shocking video that shocked enthusiasts all over the world, saying, "Did such a video really exist?" However, the unearthed film is silent. This video is covered with the soundboard audio of the very popular "October 20, 1977 Munich performance". The 8mm at that time had a short shooting time, most of which were only a few tens of seconds to a few minutes. This video is a live clip reconstructed to match the Munich performance's "Man On The Silver Mountain" and "16th Century Greensleeves". The live video that was revived in this way is a wonderful thing on a different level from the so-called "audience shot". Anyway, there are plenty of close-up shots of the members, mainly Richie, and the film does not deteriorate over time. In particular, "Man On The Silver Mountain" has a wonderful matching of video and audio, and the combination of short videos makes it look like a multi-camera professional shot. [1977 Stockholm performance (+ AUD sound on the day)] Next comes the highlight video of this time. This is the same 8mm footage of "Stockholm 1977" as above, but it is a fan-made version of "16th Century Greensleeves" that was recently released. Although the footage used is the same, the audio overlaid is different, and it is actually an audience recording of the Stockholm performance itself. Moreover, it is not just the audio from the day. The synchronized editing is extremely skillful, and its perfection exceeds the Munich SBD version mentioned above. Of course, the 8mm is not an accurate record of the scene because it is shot in pieces from the entire show, but it is so beautifully finished that you forget that fact. Although it is only one song, "16th Century Greensleeves", it is a masterpiece video with considerable effort and passion poured into those five minutes. [Copenhagen Performance 1977] Finally, the 8mm footage of "Copenhagen Performance on October 1, 1977". This is an 8mm with audio, which was rare even at the time, and it is a vintage shot that accurately records the scene itself. The footage is shot for tens of seconds from the entire show, totaling just over 13 minutes. It feels like watching the highlights of the show. And the quality is amazing. Although the image quality is not as good as the Stockholm performance, the close-up shots are the same as the pro shots, and above all, the reality with the on-site sound is overwhelming. The sound is also an audience recording above normal, and if it was a long recording, it would not be surprising if it became a tour masterpiece, let alone a press CD. What's even more exquisite is the camera work. Unlike a video that is recorded continuously, 8mm is also important for "which scene to record", but the selection is perfectly Richie-centric. There is "Kill The King" where Ronnie mistakes "Danger!" for "Power!", but most of it is guitar solo. While capturing Richie in a close-up from the best position, scenes of "delicious phrases here!" flow out one after another. And the highlight is the guitar crash! Bottles of water are scattered around the audience, and the sunburst strat is tormented and destroyed. It's an exciting scene even in many audience recordings, but it's projected from the perspective of the on-site sound and the special seat... It's a shocking video that will make you tremble just by watching it. That's all for about 26 minutes of treasure footage. The reality and on-site feel are different from the professional shots in Munich. It's not just a valuable collection, but a masterpiece video collection that is full of the pleasure of being shot in the audience, and will make you jump over 40 years of time and space.
