"21st Century RAINBOW" made a comeback in 2018. The best video of the second night has been released. This work includes "April 11, 2018 St. Petersburg performance". This week is the first report week of 2018 RAINBOW. First, let's understand the position of the show in the ongoing tour schedule. ・April 8: Moscow performance ・April 11: St. Petersburg performance [This work] ・April 13: Helsinki performance ・April 18: Berlin performance ・April 20: Prague performance These are the concert dates that have been announced so far. For now, these five performances are all there is, but it started two months earlier than 2016 and 2017, so I would like to ask for more dates to be added. And the St. Petersburg performance included in this work is the second day of two consecutive performances in Russia. In fact, this was Richie's first rock show in Russia. DEEP PURPLE's first performance in Russia was after Richie left, and even RAINBOW was planned in 1997 but did not come to fruition. There was a performance in Russia at BLACKMORE'S NIGHT, but it was also the first performance of "Ritchie the Rock". This work, which contains the second performance in Russia, is a truly wonderful audience shot. The simultaneously released "MOSCOW 2018" was of incredible abnormal quality for being shot from the audience, but this work is as good as you can believe (?). There is almost no shadow in the front row in the spacious field of view, and the stage spreads across the screen. The camera work that does not shake even with bold zoom, and the image quality that shows the power of the latest digital are also away from the audience. In such a situation, it is the sound that makes you feel the realism of the audience. It is a clear sound that jumps straight in with zero obstructions, suitable for the scene, but there is also a sense of air there. Of course, that is not a bad thing. The slight sound of the venue makes Ronnie Romero's growing singing voice manly and makes Richie's tone even sweeter. It is a sound that can be enjoyed only by the audience. And the show drawn with that quality is a must-see. On the first day in Moscow, Richie was so disturbed that he was worried, "Are you okay!?", but in this work three days later, he was almost a different person. On the first day, he clearly forgot the song, and while he was immersed in improvisation, he sometimes lost the opportunity to return to the song. However, perhaps because he had thoroughly reviewed it over the three days, he was able to play delicious phrases without any danger even when improvisation was on. In "I Surrender", Richie's instructions made the whole band break with one blow, and he was able to listen to Ronnie Romero's a cappella production. He also gave instructions to the band crisply, and "that Richie" who whimsically dominates the show is back. Richie's good condition can be enjoyed in all songs, but the set is also delicious. Although I was happy to hear "Soldier Of Fortune," which was not performed on the first day, the highlight was the encore. Ritchie appeared and played the acoustic guitar alone, playing BLACKMORE'S NIGHT's "Memmingen," the first time in RAINBOW. As expected, Ritchie is the best acoustic guitar player in the world. The sharpness and tone are far more beautiful than the electric guitar, and the "genius Ritchie Blackmore" is still alive and well. This is very moving, but what's even more moving is the "Carry On... Jon" that continues to be played. The tribute to the late John Lord, which was also performed at last year's Birmingham concert, is performed again here. The video of young John and Richie, who were repainting rock, is projected on the giant screen on the stage, and the venue is given a generous round of applause. This work is beautiful in zoom, but it is also wonderful to capture the entire stage with a pull. You can stare at John on the big big screen without any worries. The second performance in Russia was a stark contrast to the first day, and regained its original brilliance. It was nerve-wracking, but Richie was still Richie. The performance and the tribute to John are both excellent quality footage that you can witness in abundance. This year, you can't miss even one performance of RAINBOW. Please enjoy the famous footage that represents the second night. Live at Ledovy Dvorets, Saint Petersburg, Russia 11th April 2018 1. Land Of Hope And Glory 2. Over The Rainbow 3. Spotlight Kid 4.
