The legendary masterpiece "RISING ROUGH MIX". The final version is here. There is no need to explain this legendary title. It is a temporary mix of the masterpiece "RISING" just before its completion, and is the biggest shock in the history of RAINBOW, discovered in the late Cozy Powell's treasured tape collection. Its first appearance dates back to 2002, but it has been remastered and re-digitized since then. The impact was so great that it was even adopted in the official deluxe edition (although it has not been officially recognized, according to maniacs, it is said to have been made official from the 2003 "DEFINITIVE EDITION"). This work is the latest and final version of such a legendary sound source. The master used is the same 1/2 inch reel owned by Cozy as before. This time, we also dared to digitize it from the actual thing with the latest equipment, but this time it is the last challenge. In fact, this master reel has also been exposed to the test of time, and it is becoming more and more difficult to play little by little. While carefully considering the limited lifespan, we have been trying to digitize high-end in every era, but this playback has reached its limit. So, is this work a worn-out sound that is on the verge of reaching its end of life? No, that is not the case. In this challenge, we played it several times, and the sound was slightly different each time, and the best sound was recorded in this work. As a result, we have achieved a more natural and lustrous sound than ever before. There are no words for the beautiful sound. Although the performance and mix itself are the same, the noiseless beauty, the atmosphere of the studio, and the stability of the run...all of them are the best ever. And more than that, the presence of the "sound" that the master tape absorbed is wonderful. In the official deluxe edition, the silent parts between songs were edited out, and a small noise remained on one channel, but this work does not have that. Everything, including the silent parts, is the master tape itself, and there is not even the slightest playback noise in the smooth tone (in fact, the left channel becomes rough for a moment at 3:05 in "Stargazer", but this is the same in every playback. It seems to be roughness engraved on the master itself). Of course, it is unremastered and as it is. This CD is to preserve forever the existence of the Cozy Reel, which has been a source of many emotions. To be honest, the final challenge was also an adventure. As it is a vintage master, no matter how much equipment and environment you have, it is not always possible to update the highest peak sound. Even so, once the tape's lifespan is over, you can never bring out the sound again. It was a no-brainer digitization. It exceeded the peak. It showed the best brilliance at the very limit of being unplayable. "RISING ROUGH MIX" is the most beautiful and most master reel sound ever, without missing a single ounce of that brilliance. It is a "final piece" that you should face with all your heart and soul. ★ (Remaster Memo) ★ It contains everything that the tape is running, including between songs. It was played two and a half times and the best one was recorded. The sound quality has not been changed at all. The condition of the magnetic tape has reached its limit, so this will be the last time it is played. (★The sound is the best ever, I guarantee it.)
