Introducing the original cassette reprint series, Shinuchi. Until now, we have unearthed cassettes from the Graham Bonnet era and Joe Lynn Turner era, but this time we will finally explore the Ronnie James Dio era. It is also a reprint from the original cassette, which was a direct recording of the legendary first performance in Japan. The concert included in this work was performed at the Osaka Welfare Pension Hall on December 5, 1976. When they first came to Japan in 1976, there were a total of 9 performances, and there were also 3 performances at the Osaka Welfare Pension Hall, so let's take a look back at the schedule. ・December 2nd: Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium ・December 5th: Osaka Welfare Pension Hall [This work] ・December 7th: Nagoya City Public Hall ・December 8th and 9th: Osaka Welfare Pension Hall ・December 10th : Kyoto Kaikan ・December 13th: Fukuoka Kyuden Memorial Gymnasium ・December 14th: Hiroshima City Public Hall ・December 16th: Nippon Budokan As you can see, the opening day in Osaka of this work is the second day of the entire schedule. This is the early stage. It's Ritchie Blackmore's first time in Osaka since the final performance of the legendary DEEP PURPLE second season (the one where Ian Gillan tweeted "the end..."). What's more, the stage is back in the exact same large hall of the Welfare Pension Hall. The Kinney recording that recorded such a monumental concert was once released as "ON TOUR 1976: STARGAZER" and is a famous recording that has been widely loved. However, even though the recording itself is known, its quality is completely unknown. The intro, outro, and between songs are recorded longer than the previous releases, and the left and right stereo was also corrected, but these are trivial matters. The essential sound is completely different, and the freshness unique to the original cassette is amazing. The musical tone is obviously thick and clear. When Ritchie plays quietly, each picking nuance is clear, and even if the whole band is dynamic, the powerful ensemble does not become a lump, and each note stands out clearly. In fact, the frighteningly vivid sound has increased to the point of directness, and it is so fresh that it is ridiculous to even compare it with previous releases. The masterpiece "ON TOUR 1976: STARGAZER", which I thought was so wonderful, is so muffled that I can't listen to it. I often write that ``it's as if a veil or two has been peeled off,'' but it sounds as if even the recording position itself has changed. “ON TOUR 1976: STARGAZER” is not the only one. A number of recordings have been found for this live besides the Kinney recording, but it is at a level that allows you to ignore all previous recordings. Absolutely the best quality. This kind of sound cannot be achieved by remastering. Of course, mastering has been done, but we have not done any imitation to forcefully emphasize the musical tones. No, there wasn't even a need to do that; it sounded like the sound source was telling you to do nothing, other than letting the natural sound come out as is. However, there were some momentary noises due to deterioration of the master over time, so we carefully removed them and separated the song interval and keyboard intro before "Stargazer", which had been omitted from recording, for about 1 minute and 38 seconds. We were able to connect via recording. We wanted you to enjoy the entire show seamlessly with the perfect sound. RAINBOW's first visit to Osaka, depicted with such a sound, is amazing. As many of you may already know from previous releases, this recording begins with a furious singing voice. With “Over The Rainbow” in the background, a loud cheer of “Richii!” comes in, but as soon as the band appears, the balance is completely reversed. The cheering was still the same, but for some reason the volume was getting lower and lower, and the sound of the performance was getting louder and louder! and paste the main character. By the time the singing of “Kill The King” started, it was as if the audience had disappeared. After that, it conveys the liveliness including cheers between songs, etc., and it is the performance that evokes such enthusiasm that is wonderful. It was officially recorded on this day, and the spirit of the recording can be clearly seen. It seems that Richie was not satisfied with the performance, but I'm not sure exactly what he didn't like about this masterpiece. On the contrary, the encore is amazing, as if Richie's dissatisfaction has turned into anger. The fierceness of arming that bullies the Stratocaster with “Do You Close Your Eyes”! I think this is the most intense performance, or should I say performance, since DEEP PURPLE's first visit to Japan. It's madness. Even though it was the first time they came to Japan with a lineup of great performers, their first visit to Osaka was a memorial and they even had crazy performances. This apex recording is a historical masterpiece that has been reprinted from the original cassette. I have said four or five things before, but they all become empty in the face of this sound. This is RAINBOW. Live at Koseinenkin Kaikan, Osaka, Japan 5th December 1976 TRULY PERFECT SOUND(from Original Masters) Disc 1 (39:30) 1. Over The Rainbow 2. Kill The King 3. Mistreated 4.
