This work includes "Lorelai Performance June 17, 2016" This work has been mastered to bring out the maximum potential of this famous recording. It is a definitive edition revived with a sound suitable for permanent preservation. Those who have already listened to the special edition will be curious about the new sound, but first, for those who are new to it, I will give a brief overview of the revival concert. First of all, it was 19 years ago that the glorious “RAINBOW” went to sleep and Ritchie Blackmore left the rock world. RAINBOW ended with the Denmark performance on May 31, 1997, and he launched BLACKMORE'S NIGHT with his current beloved wife Candice Knight. (Incidentally, you can enjoy RAINBOW's last concert with "MAYBE NEXT TIME: FINAL CONCERT") After that, Richie did not respond to love calls from all over the world and continued to pursue Renaissance music with his beloved wife, but in 2015, Declaring the "return of hard rock", under the traditional name of "RAINBOW", Ronnie Romero (vocals) from Chile, David Keith (drums) & Bob Nouveau of BLACKMORE'S NIGHT (bass: real name is "Robert"), Curiano". Also known as "Sir Robert of Normandie" in BLACKMORE'S NIGHT) I collected Jens Johansson (keyboard) of STRATOVARIUS. Following the birth of 21st Century RAINBOW, we announced a limited performance of only 3 times. The three times are... June 17, 2016 Germany: Lorelei performance [This work] June 18, 2016 Germany: Bietigheim-Bissingen performance June 25, 2016 England: Birmingham performance Ritchie He also said, ``If things go well, I'll continue,'' but it's unclear how he felt after that. Rumors have surfaced many times about the long-awaited performance in Japan, but they have only been officially denied, saying, "There are no plans beyond the third." This work is a full live album containing the first performance of the three extremely valuable performances. Countless fragmentary records have appeared since the concert attracted attention from all over the world, but this is the only complete recording (at present) of the concert. Now, just one full recording. As I mentioned earlier, I introduced it the other day and it received great acclaim. Not only is it fully recorded, but the sound is also great. I don't think there was a single person who recorded only at concerts that attracted attention from all over the world, but there may have been many recorders who gave up and thought, ``This can't be surpassed,'' because the follow-up did not appear. No...the sound was just enough to make me think so. However, when asked if it is the best, it is not. There was a sense of distance, and to ears accustomed to the vivid sound of modern digital, the rounded edges of the recording were a concern. This is where this work appeared. This is a once-in-a-lifetime premiere and only one recording in the world, so we must maximize its potential. It is a live album reborn with meticulous mastering. The sound is completely different. The sense of distance that existed in the original recording has disappeared, and the musical sound that has come forward has transformed into a dimension that can be called "like a sound board." It feels as if the recording position has moved about 100 meters in front of you. Of course, there is no point in destroying the naturalness of the guitar sound with forced equalization, so the "beauty of the sound" is the most important thing. Even if you think, ``If I turn it up just a little bit more, the sound will be closer to 10 meters,'' but if the ``ringing'' becomes muffled, I just have to hold back. Even if each fine adjustment is slight, by making it for all instruments and all ranges, and also adjusting the natural balance, the whole thing has completely changed. This sound was made possible because we have been looking at "Ritchie's entire career" for many years and continuing to refine it. Along with that guitar sound, Ronnie Romero's singing voice is also wonderful. When Richie returns to hard rock this time, he says, ``For the fans, for the sake of nostalgia, and for the very exciting vocalist I met'', and the clear sound clearly conveys the true meaning of his words. He has a wild voice that sounds like a combination of Ronnie James Dio and Sebastian Bach (Ritchie describes it as "Ronnie + Freddie Mercury"), but his singing style is flexible. On "Highway Star" and "Spotlight Kid," he roars more powerfully than any of his predecessors, and on "Mistreated" and "Catch The Rainbow," his youthful and lustrous singing voice resonates. During his amateur days, he covered RAINBOW, DEEP PURPLE, and BLACK SABBATH, so his love for music is genuine. However, he is not just a mere impersonator. "Man On The Silver Mountain" features an original tune in the middle, and sings, "Who is the conqueror of Ginrei?" The highlight of the live performance was the climax of the song when he shouted, "Do you want me to tell you? It's Ronnie Dio!" as the song breaks. It is a sound that allows you to listen to the singing voice in extreme detail. Of course, the biggest highlight is Richie's guitar. As has already become a hot topic in the community, I can't help but feel that Ritchie's phrases, which he confirms one by one, have taken ``19 years'', but on the other hand, ``that tone'' has been around for a long time. It lets you jump through it all at once. Immediately after the live performance, the sweetness of the phrases caused some comments such as ``It's because I'm 71 years old,'' ``Is it because of surgery (on the ring finger of my left hand?),'' and ``Are I nervous?'', but when you listen to the clear sound of this work, Richie's unique "inspiration" can be felt everywhere. The free-form phrases that can be heard in songs such as "Mistreated", "Man On The Silver Mountain", and "Catch The Rainbow" are full of "Ritchie style". To put it bluntly, it's a finger clunk, but it colors BLACKMORE'S HARD ROCK's famous songs... This is the best part. This is definitely RAINBOW. The ending of "Child In Time" incorporates the riff from "Woman From Tokyo," and what's more, it's the highlight of the song. The freedom and boldness that comes with being an originator. The feeling of “That Richie is playing” overflows. Not only the tone, but also the accumulation of small phrases, the sound stands out clearly and vividly, so it's full of emotion. 19 years 2 weeks and 3 days. It's been a long 19 years, 2 weeks and 3 days. The rainbow-colored first day has finally come back to life. This is a live album that has been polished to the highest peak in history from only one full recording. A song that makes you feel the joy of being alive in 2016, when Richie returned to hard rock. Please enjoy it to your heart's content. Freilichtbuhne Loreley, Sankt Goarshausen, Germany 17th June 2016 PERFECT/TRULY PERFECT SOUND (Remastered) Disc 1 (57:59) 1. Land Of Hope And Glory 2.
