A new RAINBOW has been revived in the 21st century, surpassing the time of “19 years, 2 weeks and 3 days”. A new recording of the first day “June 17, 2016 Lorelei Performance” is now available! This work is a 4-disc set made up of two live albums based on a recording called "Third Master" that appeared on the Internet. You might be thinking, "Lorelai again?" or "Two new masters from one!?", but that's understandable. In fact, the situation has become somewhat troublesome, so I would like to clarify it here. ・Recorder 1: "LORELEY 2016" ・Recorder 2: "DEFINITIVE LORELEY 2016" ・Recorder 3: [This work disc 1 and 2] ・Recorder 1+3: [This work disc 3 and 4] ・Recorder 4: "MONSTERS OF ROCK IN GERMANY 2016” Discs 1 and 2 The above is the latest information on Lorelei recording on the first day. This week, "Recorder 4" and "MONSTERS OF ROCK: GERMANY 2016" will be released at the same time, but this work is based on "Recorder 3" ("Recorder 4" is not related to this work, so it will be released here) Then forget it). Now, let's concentrate on "Recorder 3". This is also an extremely unique recording, and because of its uniqueness, two versions were created. One is the one that has been meticulously remastered at our store, and is discs 1 and 2 of this work. The other is a matrix sound source produced by overseas core enthusiasts. Let's introduce them one by one. [Discs 1 and 2: Remastered version] What is the strong individuality of "Recorder 3"? Actually, it's a "shabby sound". As soon as it appeared on the internet, it attracted a lot of attention, with people saying, ``Isn't it a great sound for a latecomer?'', but that attention quickly disappeared. The sound was bouncy and not even close to “DEFINITIVE LORELEY 2016 (Black Box 007)” or even “LORELEY 2016 (Black Box 003)”. However! Of course, it didn't end there. I thought I would just ignore it because of the shaky sound, but it turned out to be the memorable first day of the revival. I decided to start the mastering process. Then, guess what, the more you do it, the better the sound gets. When you organize the reverberations, the performance stands out, and even when you emphasize the musical tones, the edges don't get crushed. The sound changes in an interesting way, and in the blink of an eye, it transforms into super high-quality sound. That is what made it a great sound that could even rank on the definitive edition “DEFINITIVE LORELEY 2016”. Digital mastering isn't magic, and it won't make any recording better. Compatibility with digital technology is essential, and while some recordings may end up looking unnatural if they're even a little tampered with, some recordings can transform into something completely different. "Recorder 3" was a perfect example of the latter case, but even so, it's really rare to see such a spectacular change... It had another personality. It's called "The Furious Singing Neighbor." After all, it was the first day in 19 years. The enthusiasm has been felt in the previous live albums, but in "Recorder 3" there are customers who are up close and singing the riffs and melodies loudly. The joy of singing “Da da da ♪” and screaming “Yeahhh!!!!”! It is a live recording where the joy “for the first time in 19 years” is exposed. There's a fine line between smiling and saying, "That's right!" or cursing, "I want to kill you..." when you hear this neighbor's voice. Although it is a wonderfully high-quality recording, it is extremely selectable for listeners. [Discs 3 and 4: Matrix Version] Discs 3 and 4 hit on the strong individuality of “Recorder 3” and approached it with a different approach. This is a version that has been matrixed with the standard sound source "Recorder 1" by overseas core enthusiasts. This is also a great piece of work. It's a mystery why they didn't use "Recorder 2," which has the highest sound quality, but it's probably because the characteristics of the sound sources didn't match. Just like mastering, matrixing cannot be done with just any sound source. If the compatibility is good, it can be a superb product that creates a three-dimensional effect that exceeds the on-site sound, but it is a delicate thing that will ruin everything if the sound sources try to fight with each other even slightly. And the compatibility between "Recorder 1" and "Recorder 3" was outstanding. The vividness of the musical tones, the breadth of the sound, and the three-dimensional effect are all perfectly aligned. And here too, the individuality of "Recorder 3" shines. Compared to Discs 1 and 2, it seems to be pushed down by the extremely powerful musical tones, but “Singing Neighbor” is still alive and well. It gives you a sense of on-site experience that is more than just being there. This is a completely different version of "Recorder 3" that appeared online. If it was just a bad recording, no one would want to mess with it. It was a super unique recording that had a sound that made you want to play with it, and the more you played with it, the more it met your expectations. Although it is high quality, it is a secret pleasure disc that is not recommended for everyone. Freilichtbuhne Loreley, Sankt Goarshausen, Germany 17th June 2016 TRULY PERFECT SOUND Disc 1 (57:49) 1.
