The last major standard soundboard of the Ronnie James Dio era, which also became the foundation of "FINYL VINYL", has been upgraded! It has been decided to release it urgently on a newly excavated broadcast station reel CD! What is engraved on this work is "Atlanta performance on June 24, 1978". It is a stereo soundboard recording. This sound source is famous as "the soundboard of the Ronnie era", but it may be better to say that it is "two poles with the official video LIVE IN MUNICH 1977". To explain what that means, let's take a look at the overview of the activities at that time. 1977 January: Jimmy Bain leaves September: Tony Caray replaces David Stone / Bob Daisley joins September 25-October 27: Europe (24 performances) ←※ Official video October 31-November 22: UK (17 performances) December: "Gates of Babylon" completed 1978 January 11-February 3: Japan (15 performances) May 9-August 24: North America (60 performances) ←★ Here ★ September: Stone / Daisley leaves BBC station master reel miraculously newly excavated This is RAINBOW in 1977 / 1978. The Ronnie era can be roughly divided into the "Bain / Caray era" and the "Daisley / Stone era", but there are only two professional records of the latter. One is the official video "LIVE IN MUNICH 1977", and the other is the soundboard of this Atlanta performance. This show was broadcast as BBC's famous program "ROCK HOUR (#29 on July 23, 1978), and two songs "Long Live Rock 'n' Roll" and "Man On The Silver Mountain" were also adopted for the official "FINYL VINYL" (after overdubbing). It is exactly the symbolic soundboard of Ronnie's later period. Since it is such an important FM broadcast, it is a classic among classics that many air checks have produced countless existing groups since ancient times. This work is the highest peak update board. Moreover, it is on a different level from the upgrades there and there. While the existing ones have competed for quality in the air check generation, this work is the original master of the broadcasting station. It is the ultimate board that was directly digitized from the newly excavated BBC transcription reel! In fact, the sound is completely different. For example, speaking of the best of the conventional masters, it would be our familiar "DEFINITIVE ATLANTA", but the direct feeling is much stronger than that masterpiece gift, and all the notes of all the instruments are super clear from corner to corner. Many of the previously released works, including "DEFINITIVE ATLANTA", had strangely popped vocals, but this may be different from the mix (note that this work is a BBC reel transcription, so it is undoubtedly the "ROCK HOUR" broadcast version. There is also the possibility that other previously released works are separate broadcasts). Moreover, this work is the apex board that further refines such a newly excavated master. Although it does not do anything to pollute the precious master sound, it is trying to improve the accuracy. In fact, the original sound released on the Internet was randomly out of tune and the stereo feeling was also largely to the left. This work corrects such distortion of the original sound. It reproduces the live performance at that time more accurately. Complete version with uncut recording of legendary DJs and commercials In addition to such an original sound, the point of this work is that it is a complete version of the broadcast. At the beginning and end of the show, there is a narration by legendary announcer Brian Matthew (the same man whose voice is also included in the BBC albums of The Beatles, ZEP, and CREAM). In addition, radio commercials are recorded uncut in two places, after "Mistreated" and after "Man On The Silver Mountain". It is also a radio album that exudes the feeling of the 1978 era. It is also often misunderstood, but this broadcast is also a full set. The North American leg is also Zensa, and this day was also a short set because they supported REO SPEEDWAGON. The opening "Over The Rainbow" is not recorded, and there is a possibility that there are cuts in the song list, but this is all the songs played. By the way, there is a story about "Over The Rainbow" not being broadcast. In fact, on this day, REO SPEEDWAGON's manager had the lights turned on at the opening, ruining RAINBOW's production. It seems that an angry Richie hit the manager after the show. Since it was lighting, it doesn't seem to be related to the radio, but there may have been some trouble that remained in the sound. This is the highest peak update of the precious full sound board that pours the ensemble of the "Daisley / Stone era" into your brain. Although it is a classic that has been loved for a long time, I never thought that the day would come when I could listen to it on the BBC master reel. It is an absolute one along with the official video "LIVE IN MUNICH 1977", and it is a great excavation of the century that is nothing but a cultural heritage. Stereo sound board recording of "Atlanta performance on June 24, 1978". The highest peak update of the classic sound board that was also adopted for two songs in the official "FINYL VINYL". It is the ultimate board that was digitized directly from the original BBC transcription reel, and is an upgrade of a completely different class from the conventional one. It is a complete version with no cuts of the legendary DJ and CM, and is an absolute board of the Daisley / Stone era along with the official video "LIVE IN MUNICH 1977".
