This full-length, 1 hour 34-minute stereo soundboard recording captures the acoustic gig held at Electric Lady Studios in New York City on June 4th, a promotional gig held in the US just prior to the release of 2003's "HAIL TO THE THIEF." This special gig, held in the studio with only 75 attendees, was intended for broadcast. The two shows were recorded in their entirety via direct-to-the-desk soundboard recordings, resulting in an unprocessed, unedited, and incredibly authentic sound. The highlight of this promo gig is the rare opportunity to hear every track in its acoustic form. Incidentally, the first session saw the band botch their starts on "Go To Sleep" and "No Surprises," and then have to replay them. The second session was essentially the same set, but with the addition of "Knives Out" and "Fake Plastic Trees." Above all, the unplugged arrangements of each song are fresh, and there are many highlights to listen to, including "A Punchup at a Wedding" and "I Will" from "HAIL TO THE THIEF," repertoire that could only be heard at this time.
