“QUEEN’s Treasure” is reprinted. This work includes the TV broadcast of the April 25, 1979 Nippon Budokan performance, which is familiar to fans. This is a compilation of "The Live QUEEN Live at Budokan PART?&?" which was broadcast in two 15-minute episodes on a late-night slot of a certain commercial broadcasting station in the early 1980s. Although it is a classic among the classics that has produced countless previous releases, this work is the highest quality version that appeared in 2002, and is an original master that has not been surpassed to this day. Why is this work a “hidden treasure”? It's about quality and preciousness. After all, this video was only broadcast once in the early 1980s. It was good until I recorded the Budokan live with a professional shot, but Freddie Mercury, who was not satisfied with the performance of the show, decided not to release it to the public. Originally, it would have been buried in the darkness of history, but a few years later, a Japanese broadcasting station aired it in its late-night slot. However, since it is an NG video, there is no official archive, and there is no rebroadcast. Until now, it has only been broadcast once. And it was broadcast in the early 1980s. Although home video was gradually becoming more popular, there were still very few people who could easily record late-night programs. Given that era, there are only a few recordings left. It is a video that maniacs have watched as if they were chewing on each gene one by one. In 2002, that history came to an end. This work, which appeared on the Masterport label, is a direct digitization of the original master recorded at the time of broadcast, without any dubbing. What's more, the equipment used to record the video was of professional quality that would be impossible for ordinary households to use. At a time when very few people were able to record video, it was an unexpectedly professional record. The quality of this work is proof of that. The fact is that it is an “80s air check,” but the image and sound quality are not quite what you would associate with that word. The visual beauty is so detailed that it can be used not only for current broadcasts, but also for official works, and is as fresh and beautiful as if it had been reprinted from a laser disc. Roger Taylor's blonde hair, the glitter of Freddie's red costume, the beam of the spotlight, the opening theme of "The Live QUEEN Live at Budokan", every single particle is detailed. And the appearance of QUEEN drawn with that quality is wonderful. To put it bluntly, Freddy's throat was in such bad shape that it was inevitable that he would refuse to broadcast it. However, the power and enthusiasm that comes from desperately trying to summon the voices that cannot be heard is like a burning flame. And in the big action that seems to cover up those voices, you can see through the passion that he has in mind for the audience in front of him and never wants to disappoint him. Of course, the performances of the three people who support Freddie are also hot. The reason why this work continues to be loved as a "treasure" is that it overflows with feelings that go beyond mere production. In the early 1980s, there was an avid fan who closely monitored the show even when it was broadcast late at night. In order not to miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, he did everything possible and managed to find equipment for professional use and record this video. When I was recording it, I never would have dreamed that it would never be broadcast again. However, it is because of the passion of those fans, and because they have continued to take great care of it over the years, that the beauty of this film exists today. A treasure left behind by the "love for QUEEN" of those days and for many years. We will still deliver it to those who love the four queens. Live at Budokan, Tokyo, Japan 25th April 1979 PRO-SHOT 1.
