The historical masterpiece "THE MAGIC YEARS" from the official history video is reprinted in the highest quality. This work is an anthology piece that looks back at Freddie's last tour, "MAGIC TOUR 1986," from before the band was formed. This is a masterpiece that summarizes the era when Freddie Mercury was active in about 3 hours. Of course, the main thing is “MAGIC TOUR 1986”, but it also shows plenty of history leading up to it and the behind-the-scenes of the Knebworth performance, which was the last show with Freddie. The production of the historical masterpiece "Bohemian Rhapsody" and LIVE AID were also depicted in the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody", but this work is revealed through the words of the artists themselves. It is not a dramatized story, but a visual masterpiece depicting the true QUEEN. The official work "THE MAGIC YEARS", which is the basis of this work, was released in 1987 in three parts, "VOL.1" to "VOL.3", but since then it has never been released on DVD. Out of print without a hitch. In this work, we have borrowed three of the finest mint quality VHS that were treasured by core enthusiasts and have carefully digitized them. The quality is truly amazing. Of course, it's VHS from that time, so it's different from the modern sensibilities of the digital era, but its state of preservation is perfect. There is no tape distortion or playback deterioration at all, and there is not even a single line noise for 3 hours. There is no distortion at the edges of the screen, which is the fate of video tapes, and the audio is equally perfect. Although I have seen very few of them on the used market, they were never in the condition I expected. I often hear people say they buy three copies: one for viewing, one for preaching, and one for preservation, but even if they were intended for preservation, it has been in this condition for over 30 years... The huge anthology work revived with such quality is literally a moving masterpiece. As for the production, it is an orthodox history work that includes comments from members, related parties, and fans in various live scenes...I would say that in this era, it is not a live performance or a promo video, but a "rock history" video work. There were few releases as such, and this work opened up an era and established the standard. And, as a Pioneer, the spirit of the production is amazing, and the cast is not all that great. Starting with Bob Geldof and producer Roy Thomas Baker, the members' families and engineers talk candidly behind the scenes, and fellow stars are also gorgeous. Elton John, Billy Squire, John Taylor, Paul McCartney, Samantha Fox, Rod Stewart, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck, John Entwistle, Roger Daltrey, David Bowie, Phil. Collins, Diana Ross, Little Richard... In addition to world-famous celebrities, STATUS QUO, Phish, Gary Moore, and even Wendy O. Williams (who is taking a bath for some reason). This is not an exhaustive list; each person talks about their feelings toward QUEEN in a variety of ways. It is a fierce lineup even from a modern perspective where rock anthologies have become established. And not only is the performance lined up with celebrities, but the content is also very special. From the secret behind the birth of famous songs, to the riotous commotion of the tour, to scenes on the verge of fights between the members, it's all in great detail. This work contains "VOL.1", "VOL.2", and "VOL.3" on each of the three discs, but first of all, "VOL.1". Here. The story covers everything from the formation of the group to the breakout of "A NIGHT AT THE OPERA," and the production of "One Vision." From the beginning, there are a series of episodes that you can't take your eyes off, such as celebrities' reviews of QUEEN, unusual stories of the members, their obsession with PVs, behind-the-scenes stories about pay disputes, etc. What's more, the videos are full of rare footage that will make you dizzy the more you dig into it, such as performances from his debut and John Deacon's report card (his career path after graduation says "QUEEN"!). There would be no end to it if I wrote it all down, but it won't get across unless I say something, so here are the two biggest highlights. The first is the secret story behind the birth of the iconic song "Bohemian Rhapsody." The main character here is producer Roy Thomas Baker, who looks back vividly at the time of recording. He started by saying, ``I came up with this song,'' and then came up with ideas one after another, such as ``Let's make it opera-style.'' To which he replied, ``(stunned)...Oh, okay. It's opera-style.'' I decided to do a rock part." The songs became longer and longer, and my manager at the time was worried that they wouldn't get played on the radio. You can hear plenty of real comments from people who were there to witness the creation, growth, and release of these brilliant masterpieces in rock history. And the other is the production scene of "One Vision". The progress at the time this video was made is vivid. Although they had already experienced a miraculous comeback with “LIVE AID,” they approach their creations with sincerity and discuss them without compromise. Freddie is clearly the key player, and he relentlessly gives instructions to the other members, such as, ``The current one is good, but the previous one is better,'' and ``The gap is still the same even at number 2.'' His appearance is completely different from the flamboyant entertainer on stage, and he is exactly like "Freddie the Musician." Furthermore, the members disappeared from the camera after producer Mack commented, ``They had a big fight like a married couple. They didn't do it in front of people, but behind their backs.'' Even when the scene changes, the quarrel between the husband and wife seems to be receding, as phrases such as ``The beat is like a clock now'' and ``Let's leave the fight behind, for now'' are heard. Finally, Freddie plays the drum track and makes a fist pump as if to say, "We did it!"... You can witness the production site where you can see the uncompromising seriousness and human relationships. Their replacement, ``VOL.2,'' is a success story that depicts their rise from their first visit to Japan, where they were first discovered, to their rise to become world-famous stars. In 1975, when they were not recognized even in their home country, Japan welcomed them with a storm of commotion and great hospitality, and the members were taken aback and looked for words to express their gratitude. There are scenes of her attending a tea party in a dreamlike state, etc. The comments looking back on those days are vivid, but what's even better is the expressions on the members' faces as they look around and say, "What's going on?!" After that, the album depicts QUEEN's rise to great heights, with plenty of talk about "Hyde Park," which determined their success in their home country, and the North American tour, which was a series of hardships. Visually, there are plenty of valuable live shots here as well, including the first Budokan performance in Japan. Interesting and valuable footage such as appearances on TV from various countries and muddy pro wrestling at the launch party will make you think, ``This is it!'' The final "VOL.3" is a road movie depicting everything from the miraculous revival of "LIVE AID" to Freddie's final "MAGIC TOUR 1986." From practicing his voice in the dressing room to taking control of a huge stadium, there's plenty of footage of Freddy shining in public at the end. The story of the South African performance, which caused worldwide bashing, does not appear, so the miracle of “LIVE AID” feels weak, but the comments from the members who are savoring the past 15 years are heavy now. At the time of this work, no one knew about the approaching tragedy, and it tells the story of the future. ``There will come a time when I won't be able to run around the stage anymore. The time will come eventually when I'll quit. But I won't give up on music,'' Freddie says. The film ends with Freddy's ``Fuck day, tomorrow''. Precisely because the tragedy that followed is so decisive, there is no hope for an official reissue of this work. However, precisely because of this, it is a book that pierces my heart. Not only is it a masterpiece video work that changed rock culture, but it is about 3 hours long, and its history, way of life, and numerous comments will transport you to the golden age. The movie ``Bohemian Rhapsody'' was also great, but it was too focused on entertainment and could not be said to be faithful to history. This work is the true history of QUEEN. This is a 3-disc set in which the person himself, those involved, and other stars at the time talk about it. Japanese Edition Disc 1(59:46) Magic Years Volume One 'The Foundations' Introduction 1.
