This work is a professional shot video. It is a two-disc set with a full professional shot of the "January 11th" performance on the first day of ROCK IN RIO on Disc 1 and the "January 18th" performance on the eighth day on Disc 2. Let's take a closer look at each one. [Disc 1: January 11th performance] First of all, the full professional shot of the first day "January 11th". This live has long been known as a professional shot, but the broadcast was also an excerpt version. However, this work is a full-length version that appeared in the 21st century. The local broadcast master that we obtained independently at our shop has been directly digitized, and it is a major definitive video that has wiped out the existing broadcasts in both quality and length. To be honest, the video quality is far from the official work, and it is indeed "South America in the 1980s". However, it is also in a different dimension from the "back video" stuff that has been around since the video era and is covered in dubbing marks. There is almost no noise or distortion, let alone any color bleeding, and it still holds the position of "the highest peak of full video". More than the quality, what's great is the numerous scenes that were not officially recorded, totaling 11 songs. There are some songs that were cut, such as "Killer Queen" where Brian's solo is unstable, and "Dragon Attack" where the guitar has trouble, but most of them are passionate performances full of the spirit of redemption, just like the official footage. In the scene leading up to "Killer Queen", Freddie hits the piano and shouts "Come on!", and at the beginning of "Dragon Attack" and the second half of "Crazy Little Thing", he gets up close and personal with the audience, which is cool. The improvisations at the beginning of "It's a Hard Life" and during the set change in "Love Of My Life" are also great. The explosion scene at the end of "Jailhouse Rock" is also very impressive. Don't miss the official songs. As mentioned in the commentary of the main story, the official version has three songs, "Now I'm Here", "Love Of My Life" and "I Want To Break Free", taken on "January 18th", and the first day take can only be seen in this film. In particular, "I Want To Break Free" is a must-see. You can witness the historic performance of Freddie cross-dressing and receiving a huge booing with multiple cameras. Freddie shows off his balloon boobs (a punishment in which the blowing port is likened to a nipple) and bra in a semi-strip style, and even hits his butt. The humor on the edge is chilling for those of us who know history. When the bottle is thrown at you, you are sweating with your hands, but surprisingly nothing happens. No, he actually stopped cross-dressing on "January 18th", and if nothing really happened, it would not be a historic anecdote. Was the anecdote wrong, or was there a commotion happening somewhere off screen? In any case, this is the real story of a performance that will remain in history. [Disc 2: January 18th performance] Next, disc 2 contains the pattern of the 8th day of the festival, "January 18th". Unlike disc 1, it is not a full video, but the quality is amazing! Of course, the shooting environment does not change, and its beauty is comparable to even the DVD, which is the highest version of the official video. Although there are some scenes where the sound mix is unstable (is this the reason why there were few official ones?), the sound is also wonderful, and it is a truly apex master. And this is also a rain of scenes that can not be seen officially. Although there are officially adopted "Now I'm Here" and "Love Of My Life", the other 13 songs can only be seen in this work. The recording time is 52 minutes, less than half of disc 1, but the impression is more beautiful pro shots. Disc 1 where you can witness the full show of "January 11th" with plenty of historical scenes. And disc 2 where you can enjoy the unrecorded scenes of "January 18th" in a lump with official quality.
