QUEEN's last Australian tour was held just before that LIVE AID and the last performance in Japan. Introducing the Ketteiban collection that combines these masterpieces. This work includes two performances. This is a 3-disc set that includes a full audience recording of the ``April 19, 1985 Melbourne performance'' and a superb audience shot of the ``April 26 Sydney performance.'' QUEEN's first Australian tour was THE SUNBURY POP FESTIVAL in January 1974, but they only toured multiple times twice in 1976 and 1985. The 1986 “MAGIC TOUR” was limited to Europe, so “THE WORKS TOUR” was the last tour for other countries. First of all, let’s check the show’s position from the overview of such a world tour. ●1984《``THE WORKS'' released on February 27th》・August 24th-September 30th: Europe (23 performances)・October 5th-20th: South Africa (9 performances)●1985・January 11th + 18th: ROCK IN RIO (2 performances) ・April 13th-29th: Oceania (9 performances) ←★Coco★ ・May 8th-15th: Japan (5 performances) ・July 13th :LIVE AID This is the overall picture of “THE WORKS TOUR” which was the last “world” tour. This work is the 4th and 7th performance of such “Oceania” leg. Now, let's introduce each performance. [Disc 1-2: The best recording of the April 19th Melbourne performance] The first thing that appears is the best audience recording of “April 19th Melbourne”. The recording on this day has been known for a long time, and it is a classic that has been loved as "Oceania's No. 1 recording in 1985." Many previous works have been born, but this work is the one that shines at the highest peak among them. The most famous one is "MELBOURNE 1985", but this work has a different sound to be honest. It is a work that has been further refined through meticulous mastering, based on the Loujane master that was discovered in 2007. Anyway, Gene's youth is overwhelming. The atmosphere is clear and transparent, and the performance and singing voice are extremely beautiful. Not only is it beautiful, but the core is solid and every little detail is clear. That alone was different from the Killing Floor edition, but this work maximizes its potential. The pitch, which was strangely fast, and the stereo feel, which was generally biased to the right, have been corrected, and each range has been sorted out. In particular, the bass drop and response have been upgraded to the point where you'll wonder, "Is this really the same recording?" Furthermore, the tape change (approximately 30 seconds) of “Is This The World We Created?”, which was considered the biggest drawback of the famous recording, was also supplemented. It was used in the Sydney performance of Disk 3, but these are the only two best records in Oceania in 1985. The connection is natural, and the traditional masterpiece recording has been updated to the highest quality and can now be enjoyed in a seamless and complete form. [Disc 3: The best shot of the Sydney performance on April 26th] Following such a great live album is another great audience shot. This is a historic masterpiece video that took the world by storm as ``WELCOME TO THE MACHINE.'' The appearance of this video was also an incident. It is a master that was discovered 10 years ago in 2009, but its quality is strange. The first thing that surprises me is the field of view. It seems that the photo was taken from the stand seats on the right side of the stage (John Deacon's side), but there are no shadows from the front row, and only the stage occupies the field of view with no obstructions. Even though it's a stand seat, it's nice that it doesn't look down on you. His line of sight is exactly the same as Freddy's on stage, and despite the diagonal angle, it's so easy to see that you can see him right in line. Furthermore, the sense of stability is amazing. It's obvious that I'm using a tripod, so there's no camera shake. The photographer of this work does not shake the image even when zooming very closely. Normally, if you were to follow the members running around while zoomed in, things would turn out to be ridiculous, but this work continues to capture the highlights in close-up shots. Therefore, even though the audience seats are shot in one shot, the field of view changes all the time, so it is not monotonous. The freshness of the master who was able to preserve such wonderful photography to the present day is shocking. Anyway, it's shiny and beautiful. Although it has an analog feel due to the popularity of video cameras, there are no traces of dubbing in the details or colors. The visual beauty that seems to have been digitized directly from the original master continues without disturbance. The freshness can be felt from the sound, and the glossy and delicate sound covers the entire album. In fact, there are some slight missing shots and sound cuts in the guitar solo of "It's A Hard Life", the beginning of "Another One Bites The Dust", the intros of "I Want To Break Free" and "We Will Rock You", etc. However, we supplemented the audio for those parts as much as possible. Processed to connect smoothly. Speaking of 1985, it was still the dawn of audience shots. If it's surprising that they were able to shoot this much footage in such an era, the fact that it maintained its original quality is also shocking. It is no wonder that it was a shocking video that was highly praised as “the highest peak of the 80’s audience” at the time. [A great performance held in the last Oceania] And the two performances depicted with such extreme quality are exquisite. Internally, QUEEN was suffering from injuries all over her body, but once she was on stage, she gave a passionate performance, trying to shake off the adversity. Freddie's singing voice is truly powerful, brave, and beautiful. Although it is a set that is similar to the Japanese performance immediately after this, you can also see “Dragon Attack” and Brian’s guitar solo, which were cut in the video work “WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS: FINAL LIVE IN JAPAN”. Another point of “Love Of My Life” is that Freddie sings all the melodies without leaving it up to the audience. In the Melbourne performance (discs 1-2), Freddie sang "Under Pressure" one chorus early, and in the Sydney performance (disc 3), he made a mistake in "Death On Two Legs", which he played before "Killer Queen". The scenes where they somehow manage to deceive her are also hilarious. You can especially enjoy the sharp action in the Sydney performance with video. In "Hammer To Fall", he throws a paper cup while calling out the name of the song, but he catches it just in time with the intro of the song. Even such a casual scene is made so cool. QUEEN in 1985 went on to their last performance in Japan and then to LIVE AID. This is a 3-disc set that combines the "Last Oceania" just before that with the No. 1 live album and the best shots of the 80's.
