21 Night Stand in LA, final episode! 21 Night Stand, only two more live performances, the last one recorded with super high quality audience recording! In the fall of 2018, 66 minutes of the best sound check was suddenly leaked. From the Purple Rain tour with Sheila E as the opening act, it is the best sound quality with a complete sound board recording at the rehearsal before the performance at Long Beach Arena on March 10, 1985. The first song is Sister Fate, which is the first song on Sheila E's second album. It seems that Sheila is there, but the vocalist here is Prince. There is a high possibility that she is playing the drums (so far, there have been quite a few sound checks from this period that have Prince jamming with Sheila). It's a professional sound check where Prince sings like Sheila E in falsetto while giving instructions to the band in his natural voice. Then, from the second half of the song, it's cool funk with the best guitar cutting I've ever heard, thrilling saxophone, a 14-minute outrageous version of Sister Fate, and a little bit of horns and so on, and it's Jill Jones' For Love. As the jam progresses further, it features a mysterious saxophone tone that seems to be Eric Leeds, sparkling guitar cutting, and a bumpy bass (it's very Prince-esque, but it's a bit like Prince). There is a voice instructing Brown Mark, so it must be Brown Mark) It will be a sticky funk. And JB's Body Heat, which approaches with the highest sound quality, is an altered version that mixes For Love's guitar cutting. At the end, we checked the flow of the song in order to perform it live. In rehearsal, Prince was planning his next project in addition to preparing for the live performance, and it is a wonderful sound source that can only be described as amazing. 1985-03-10 Long Beach Arena, California, USA 1.
