Introducing a 4-disc set that perfectly records the moment when Prince stood on the stage in Japan for the first time. It was on “PARADE TOUR 1986” that he set foot on Japanese soil. This tour was also the first world tour for Prince to perform a full show outside of North America, and its final destination was Japan. This work is an audience set in which the first and second nights were recorded by the same recording artist. This week, another masterpiece "THE FINAL PARADE (ZION-086)" from Prince's first performance in Japan will appear, so let's get an idea from the schedule. ・September 5th: Osaka Castle Hall [Discs 1 and 2 of this work] ・September 6th: Osaka Castle Hall [Discs 3 and 4 of this work] ・September 8th: Yokohama Stadium ・September 9th: Yokohama Stadium ``THE FINAL PARADE'' In this way, their first performance in Japan will be a total of 4 performances, twice each at "Osaka Castle Hall" and "Yokohama Stadium." This work is a full recording of the first two performances. The final performance, “THE FINAL PARADE”, surprised us with a tremendous sound that made even historical masterpieces blur, but the quality of this work is also strong. In fact, this work is also the work of the same recording artist as “THE FINAL PARADE”. It is the original master released for the first time in the world. The sound is a beautiful audience recording. The clarity of the musical sound itself approaches "THE FINAL PARADE", and the indoor feeling that is different from Yokohama Stadium is wonderful. Outdoor venues are characterized by a sense of openness that seems to stretch out and disappear into the distance, but this work has a beautiful acoustic feel unique to indoor venues. When you write this, you may imagine a sound that is "reverberating and blurry," but of course it is not that kind of sound. The musical sound of “THE FINAL PARADE” is the type that is sucked into the night sky, whereas the sound of this work is a straight musical sound with a faint reverberation that feels like it reaches the audience. What's more, the directness of the pitch is so direct that you can't believe it's in a huge space that can accommodate 16,000 people. In particular, the clarity of discs 3 and 4 can be called “just like a sound board”, and it is a dimension that can be on top depending on your preference, “THE FINAL PARADE” or this work. Despite the sound up to that point, this work must still be an audience recording. In addition to the beauty of the venue's acoustics, which were faint but definitely present, the audience was enthusiastic. After all, she is the superstar of our time, coming before Michael Jackson's "BAD TOUR" and Madonna's "WHO'S THAT GIRL TOUR." The excitement of witnessing the finest entertainment for the first time was incredible. Moreover, even though Prince was already extremely popular at the time, he was a bit more ``connoisseur'' than Michael or Madonna. Perhaps because of this, the enthusiasm that pervades this work is a little different from the fanaticism of ``because it's a hot topic in the world'', and it's filled with the enthusiasm of a Western music lover, ``because I love that song and this music.'' Of course, even though the loud cheers and furious handclaps are firmly suppressed, they do not threaten the leading role of the musical tone and singing voice in the slightest. Although it is a ``record'' that gives you a sense of the atmosphere and scale of history, it is more than that a superb ``musical work.'' That kind of atmosphere can be felt in abundance from Prince's side as well. He conquered Europe on his first world tour, but Japan is an even more different world for him. Moreover, since these two performances in Osaka are their “first time in Japan,” it is unknown how well they can communicate in English. There weren't many MCs either, so it was clear that they were trying to find out what the fans were up to for the first time. However, what's great about Prince is that he doesn't get stiff there. He is able to impress the audience without relying on the power of words, and the enthusiastic response from the audience gives him confidence. For a normal artist, it would take several performances to get a feel for each country's response, but Prince was able to grasp everything in one show and completely dominated the space of Osaka Castle. As expected, he is a genius and a darling of his time. The setlist that supports such a show is centered around the three albums ``1999'', ``AROUND THE WORLD IN A DAY'', and ``PARADE'', and features plenty of delicious songs. Although the number of songs for each performance does not reach the final day's "THE FINAL PARADE", it is still about 1 or 2 songs, and the total of the two days is more diverse than the final day. In particular, "Paisley Park" and "Mountains" on the first day "September 5th" cannot be heard on "THE FINAL PARADE", and "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" is a song that can only be heard on this day even though it is the first time to visit Japan. That's it. The first day (discs 1 and 2) when they stood on the stage in Japan for the first time, and the second day (discs 3 and 4) of the best sound that even rivals the historical masterpiece “THE FINAL PARADE”. This is a masterpiece that perfectly captures the historic first two days of Japan and Osaka. Prince visited Japan five times and gave 38 concerts during his lifetime. A 4-disc set that captures that first step with the finest sound released for the first time in the world. Please be a witness to this historic night that was revealed 30 years later.
