A rehearsal recording for First Avenue in 1983 has been released. The best recording had a problem with the fast pitch, but only that part has been remastered. The opening is Little Red Corvette, which is sung and played firmly while praising Wendy and other members. Then, during the full intro, Prince says that BB King is in the yard, plays a blues phrase, and starts singing Purple Rain. Prince's instructions are given, and the singing style is irregular, and there is a sense of further deliberation. From here, a long jam lasting about 30 minutes begins. It starts with D.M.S.R., and it is interesting that the members sometimes cannot respond to Prince's chanting of hamburgers, French fries, onion rings, etc. Funky Wendy's cutting, Brown Mark's crisp bass line, and the sound are clear, and you can feel something more than a soundboard recording. As the performance progresses, the second half features George Clinton's "don't touch the radio" phrase from Loopzila, creating a somewhat The Bird-like atmosphere. This is one of D.M.S.R.'s best live recordings. Then, with a bass solo, it transitions into an instrumental jam by Bodyheat. Wendy's comfortable cutting, Fink's razor-like synth, and a flowing piano solo are also included, giving it a goosebump-inducing coolness. Then it becomes a very nasty bass-centered Dofunk, and changes into a new jam that has the atmosphere of Loopzila, Sexy Dancer, Controversy, and other famous songs. Eventually, Prince sings the vocal phrase from Bodyheat, and a JB-like party graduation hall is born. When Prince calls the band, they start to incorporate phrases of various ideas each time. Prince mutters "Sex Shooter," but in fact, Vanity 6-style backing like "If A Girl Answers" also appears. This kaleidoscope-like thrilling performance is something you should definitely listen to. And a rehearsal on September 21, 1984. It was in a warehouse, and it was for the Purple Rain tour, which will begin on November 4, 1984 in Detroit. Prince chants Detroit, and the thrilling opening of I Would Die 4 U flows into Baby I'm A Star, giving the listener a sense of exhilaration with the tension of a real performance. Stop-and-go repeats, and a groove that changes and moves forward with dynamism. From about 12 minutes, crazy phrases come in one after another. As a pure live version with no cheers, it makes you feel like Prince and The Revolution are playing just for each listener. The best performance of the highlights of the live performance. It's too thrilling! And the sound check for Computer Blue, which is more of a jam of the extended parts of Computer Blue rather than the song itself, with the vocal phrases "work out, work out, Everbody work out" repeated, little by little interesting phrases being added to create a very addictive funk. All three types of sound sources are here for the first time. 1.Little Red Corvette 2:57 2.Purple Rain (Take #1) incl.BB King style blues guitar solo 4:16 3.Purple Rain (Take #2) 11:42 4.D.M.S.R. 9:55 5.Bodyheat (Take #1;instr.) 4:54 6.Kinda Nasty Jam In A Minor 4:33 7.Bodyheart (Take #2) in cl.
