"LOVESEXY TOUR 1988-1989" is said to be the largest in Prince's history. A live album that captures that live in Japan with the finest stereo sound board is now available. The “LOVESEXY TOUR” toured the world with 77 performances, but the final country chosen was Japan. The Japan performance itself was also the largest scale of his career. First, let's take a look at the full story. ・February 1st: Sendai City Gymnasium [This work] ・February 4th: Tokyo Dome ・February 5th: Tokyo Dome ・February 7th: Nagoya Rainbow Hall ・February 8th: Nagoya Rainbow Hall ・February 10th: Kitakyushu City General Gymnasium ・February 12th: Osaka Castle Hall ・February 13th: Osaka Castle Hall (last day of the world tour) In this way, "LOVESEXY JAPAN TOUR 1989", which will be the second visit to Japan, 8 performances in total. Although the number of performances is one less than the last Japan visit "ONE NITE ALONE... TOUR 2002", the venue size is much larger. There are venues lined up across the country that can accommodate more than 10,000 people, including the first-ever Tokyo Dome. This work is a stereo soundboard recording containing the performance at the “February 1, 1989 Sendai City Gymnasium”, which was the only medium-sized venue (approximately 5,700 seats). This recording itself is already known to have been released from overseas labels, but this time we miraculously obtained the DAT master that was the source of it. We have achieved the best version ever, which is longer than any previous release. The quality is truly astonishing. The leaked soundboard is at its full potential, and the loud cheers are so detailed and clear that you can hear them faintly in the distance, and the music and singing voices are poured into your ears. The intensely vivid feeling makes it look like it's official. The musical sounds of all instruments are played from the left and right at zero distance, with a vividness and direct connection that far exceeds the official work that is beautifully treated. You will feel an immersive feeling as if your head is the venue itself. You can hear the sound of the guitar's strings scraping, the chorus is clear to the tune of each individual voice, and the shimmering synthesizer is vivid, with even the slightest flicker of effects. While everything is vivid, what is particularly strong is the singing voice of the main character, Prince. The meltingly lustrous tones, the sexy hoarse whispers, the passionate scat, and even the sound of her breathing is right in my ear. It's like I'm the microphone... no, it's a sense of unity, as if Prince is singing inside my brain. The dizzying world of “LOVESEXY TOUR” is depicted with that sound. A stage set with a total construction cost of 2 million dollars was used, and the family, Sheila E, participated fully. This is Prince's paradise, which even made Andy Warhol call it ``the greatest concert ever.'' It's not unusual for foreigners to have a difficult time on their first day in Japan due to jet lag, etc., but this time they had two full months to spare from the previous North American leg, so they were in perfect condition. Not only Prince, but also Sheila and Backmen will put on a professional stage. The show is divided into two parts, with the first half focusing on "SIGN O' THE TIMES" and featuring popular and representative songs up to that point. The excitement that would be reserved for the encore at a normal concert was so gorgeous that it attacked like a storm. This is the first disc of this work. And, the second disc is the second part that boldly features the then new work "LOVESEXY". At the end of the first part, the synth sound of "Anna Stesia" is shown as a preview, and that gorgeous and positive world blooms all at once. With "The Cross" from "SIGN O' THE TIMES" and "Kiss" from "PARADE" in between, seven of the nine songs from "LOVESEXY" (excluding "When 2 R in Love" and "Positivity") are included. It will be unveiled. The order of the songs is also fresh. At that time, the original album was not divided into tracks and had to be listened to all at once, but here it is flexibly replaced. The already vivid world is brought back even fresher. You can listen to the whole story on a super vivid sound board that even exceeds the official one. At the time, ``LOVESEXY'' had poor sales and was even treated as a controversial work. Nowadays, it is being reevaluated, and there are many fans who say, ``This is truly a masterpiece.'' It was probably the show at the time that laid the groundwork for such a re-evaluation. The most gorgeous stage in Prince's history, the vividness, beauty, and fun of a sexy and positive world. This is an unprecedented live album that depicts all of this with the finest stereo soundboard. In a sense, this is a sound world that can be said to be the "quintessential PRINCE music". The ultimate experience only possible with the original DAT master. Please take this opportunity to enjoy it to the fullest.
