This is the Fukuoka performance of the Lovesexy tour on February 10, 1989. You might think that Lovesexy's Japan tour wasn't particularly exciting because it came during the bubble era, but Prince is experimenting in Fukuoka! He had some playful riffs in Nagoya and was completely relaxed, but the Fukuoka performance followed suit. A Love Bizarre plays out at a lengthy pace, just under six minutes, starting with Prince's "Kick Drum!" call, gradually evolving into a cool jam with Levi's bass solo and Miko's guitar! He even throws in a "Oh We Oh Ooh Oh" call! The first half is ecstasy. And then, as in Nagoya, the Fukuoka performance also features a variety of guitar riffs, adding to the fun! And then, during Superfunkycalifragisexy, he even includes a riff from The Time's unreleased track, "Murph Drag," which is a real shock! Before Kiss began, Prince transformed into a human beatboxer, reminiscent of Bobby McFerrin, and then chanted "Give Me Your Kiss" before moving on to Kiss! So cool! Sheila's drum solo and Eric Leeds' flute solo followed by Let's Go Crazy were also exclusive to Fukuoka! Little-known fact: Lovesexy's Japan tour was amazing, and it was well worth the money! A must-have, this super complete recording features high-quality audience recording and even a precious announcement at the end. It perfectly captures the atmosphere of their business-minded visit to Japan.
