ACT II of Prince's European tour after he changed his name. The set list included songs from the album Love Symbol, a greatest hits-style set, which was touted to be the last song under Prince's name, and in the encore he performed new songs that Warner had not been able to release at the time, and he also gave a speech about the secret of the name change and his feud with Warner, making it a very worthwhile concert to study. The second day of the tour, the Birmingham performance on July 27, 1993, which is known for its high tension, is now available as a 2CD reprint of the previously released, out-of-print title What's My Name?, a Blu-ray disc of the footage, and a 2CD reprint of the audience recording live at Wembley Stadium on July 31, 1993, titled European Tour 93 Act II. The album is called What's My Name? Special Edition (4CD+1BRD). This is a video of the Birmingham performance on July 27, 1993, but the existing DVD master had frequent sound cuts in the audio part and the sound quality itself was very poor. This time, the CD sound source of What's My Name? was synchronized and used, and furthermore, it was transferred to a Blu-ray disc with careful authoring and recorded without deterioration. The audience shots centered on the screen, the audience in front were almost never overlooked, there was no hand shake with a fixed camera, and the sound was also reborn as the best audience recording, so it has become one of the best images to know the appearance of the ACT II tour. Of course, since it was shot by the audience at that time, the clarity of the image is sparse, but it is a video that can be enjoyed enough with close-ups and individual members. Prince, the love symbol after the name change, appears on a swing. The hat with the blinds is familiar from the promotional video of My Name Is Prince, but in fact the contents were Myte? You can also confirm the bizarre opening because it is projected on the screen. Sexy MF, where Levi Seesa Jr.'s elegant guitar is also a must-see. Prince and Mayte's dance skills are always on stage, and the presence of the NPG Horns is one of the attractions of the ACTII tour, but The Beautiful Ones, which is colored by their heavy horns, is a masterpiece, and Mayte appeals to her seductiveness, and her dance is also a must-see. In Kiss, the camera shows the screen, but there is also an interesting picture where Prince comes under the screen and dances there while the pattern is also shown on the screen (but the camera falls and goes black for about 10 seconds). In Irresistible Bitch, where Prince laughs at Mayte's cute behavior, and She's Always In My Hair, Prince's performance of inserting a blue cloud guitar between his legs is also impressive. In Raspberry Beret, the band performance unexpectedly flows into the acoustic Sometimes It Snows In April, where there is a slightly unusual and snappy guitar solo. It is also thrilling to suddenly transition from an elegant guitar phrase to The Cross. This time, Levi is playing the guitar under the screen. The effective video of Sign O' The Times becomes funky with the addition of horns, and the drumming of Michael B. adds solemnity and rockishness to Purple Rain, while Prince's voice and guitar resonate in top form. The graceful dance of NPG Horns members Cathy J and Mayte is fused into And God Created Woman, followed by Diamonds And Pearls with horns for an elegant flow, from which Prince finally appears on stage, and after a beautiful piano phrase, Little Red Corvette, and then Strollin' with the band back together, Prince sings in falsetto and captivates the audience. Cathy's sax and Prince's pose, Scandalous to applause, Girls And Boys starting with lyrics reciting pompously, Arabic Intro with a video of a Japanese-like person clapping, followed by the performance of 7, which is the key to the name change. What's my name? Think about it, yes, I think so, if it's a Japanese pronunciation, it's fine, says Prince, enjoying the audience's reaction. Then he plays 1999, and Prince and Mayte sing with double microphones, and they seem to get along well. And Levi's cutting is just too cool. Baby I'm A Star is played by calling NPG and horns, and in America, Michael's drumming and Levi's cutting are intertwined alternately, and Prince is in a good mood, exquisitely interweaving scat. In the jam of It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night, he makes Levi play hard and brings out the groove, then he stops the band and respects Mayte, saying who she is and that her boots are the best, and he immediately calls Michael and restarts the performance, and Prince dances like Abareru-kun, and the world is full of free will. Meanwhile, the horns are blowing spasmodically, and it's the best closing. But it doesn't end here. There are new songs for the encore. The opening of the new song Dark, which will be included in Come, is cut off, but the rest of the video, including the speech, is recorded. The sound quality is synchronized well, so you can enjoy the after-show-like development with moving screenshots. Dark is a high-quality jazz performance with alternating screen images of NPG horns and Prince, shirtless with a gun microphone. In his speech, he recites the lyrics of What's My Name and Race, hinting at a name change. And Prince and NPG also get the audience chanting "Oww-Oww" to liven up the funky version of House In Order, which Prince provided for Mavis Staples. Prince actually stops the band once and says thank you for getting the crowd excited, but it's cool that he doesn't finish and starts again. The early super funky arrangement of Race also features Prince's scat and the dance is sharp. He asked the many customers if he could come on stage for a little while and let me choose, and said that it would be fun for Mayte and Prince to choose the performers, but Mayte was taking a long time, so Prince said, "I'm waiting for you." "Do you want some slow funk?" Johnny from NPG's Gold Nigga was played, and the audience and Prince walked around the stage, dancing loosely while rapping. Levi also played elegant guitar, and there were introductions of the members, but the name of Mr. Haze, who had just joined the band, was also mentioned. Finally, Prince recited the MC, "I don't need a name anymore, because I'm a friend, welcome to the dawn," and the stage ended. The What's My Name? reissue 2CD also includes a bonus recording of the rehearsal that took place that day. And the European Tour 93 Act II, a reissue 2CDR of the live performance at Wembley Stadium on July 31, 1993. The cheers were small, and you can enjoy the show with super high sound quality like a soundboard with individual instruments and vocals coming forward. The closing jam of America here is super funky. And the encore is also super high quality, but first he plays a little bluesy instrumental, then he gives a 9-minute speech about his feud with Warner, "Next time you come, bring a tape recorder, press the save button," What's My Name, and a lyric from Race, and then he plays Come, a new song at the time. It's a very wonderful performance with the horn heads' horns in the dark version that you can hear in The Beautiful Experience. Then there's the extremely groovy Endorphine Machine, the super Peach with a long intro and a riff from Chaos And Disorder in the second half, and finally Prince's vocals on the slow rap Johnny from NPG's Gold Nigga. The vocal phrases from Deuce And Quarter are also included. Also included as a bonus is a live recording of 2Gether, which became a Gold Nigga single. This is thought to be an audience recording, but the sound quality is very good, and it's very wonderful that Prince, not Tony M, raps, MCs, and sings.
