At the end of April 2016, the news of Prince's death came out of nowhere. Since he was only 57 years old, at first I thought it was some country's prince who had passed away, but I was soon surprised to find out that it was "that" prince. As a talented musician, he was unrivaled, releasing studio albums almost every year, and whenever he performed a live show, he would hold an after-show on the same night, and his energetic activities were something to behold. As most artists become big, they only release albums once every few years, but fans keep up with their prolific record of releasing albums one after another, just like Japanese idols from the 70s. It was so difficult. In an interview with Rockin' On, which I believe was in the 90s, I asked him how many unreleased songs he had, and he answered that there were more than 10 albums worth of songs, which once again showed a glimpse of Prince's amazing talent. It was a glimpse. In the 1980s, Prince was one of America's biggest pop star icons, along with Michael Jackson and Madonna. Prince has visited Japan six times in his lifetime. Their first visit to Japan was in 1986, and Japan was chosen as the final stop on their parade tour. After that, they continued to perform in Japan every few years, and their last visit to Japan was in 2002. And this work is a complete recording of the Nagoya performance on February 7, 1989 from the Love Sexy Tour, which was the second performance in Japan, with a sound board. As a side note, the Japan tour was also the final stop for this Lovesexy tour. As the title suggests, ``Black Album,'' which was wrapped in black funk, was discontinued, and the album that was re-released was ``Lovesexy.'' When it was first released, reviews were not established, and sales were not so good. The CD has an awkward jacket, and there are no chapters for each song, so there is only one song in total. However, in later years, Prince himself recalled that it was his favorite album, and it is now recognized as one of Prince's masterpieces of the 1980s. I was lucky to be able to see the tour accompanying this album in Japan. Prince's 1989 Love Sexy Tour performance in Japan was a tight schedule as usual, consisting of 8 performances over a two-week stay. The set list was divided into a first half and a second half, with the second half featuring songs from the then new album "Love Sexy", and the encore ending with a representative song that everyone knows. Another major feature of Prince's stage performance is that he tries to play as many songs as possible in medleys. Although this work was performed in Nagoya, it was funny to hear the place name "Nagoya!" being shouted out everywhere. This work is a complete recording of the February 7, 1989 Nagoya Rainbow Hall performance with a perfect leaked soundboard. The sound board sound source, which is extremely high-quality and neatly separated into stereo, is noteworthy among Prince's performances in Japan, and is of high quality that can be used as a live album as it is.
