The legendary recording that was praised as "This is a customer record!?" and "It's even better than FM broadcasting!" has been brushed up! The complete album, 2CD, is now available, with the only drawback of the tape change cut. This work is engraved with the "February 2, 1981: Nippon Budokan" performance. This is a superb audience recording that tells the whole story. THE POLICE's Japan tour was only realized three times, in 1980, 1981, and 2008. Among them, the Nippon Budokan night was only one night, both before and after. First of all, let's look back on the overall picture of such a monumental visit to Japan. 1980 "REGGATTA DE BLANC Tour" February 14th-20th (6 performances) 1981 "ZENYATTA MONDATTA Tour" ・January 25th: Nagoya City Public Hall ・January 26th: Osaka Festival Hall ・January 27th: Osaka Festival Hall *January 29th "KYOTO 1981" ・January 30th: Kurashiki Civic Hall ・January 31st: Fukuoka City Kyuden Memorial Gymnasium *February 2nd: Nippon Budokan ←★This work★ & TV/FM broadcast ・February 4th: Hokkaido Welfare Pension Hall ・February 6th: Utsunomiya City Cultural Hall ・February 7th: Sendai Electric Power Hall 2008 "REUNION Tour" ・February 10th-14th (3 performances) A miraculous original recording that surpasses even traditional FM broadcasting As mentioned above, this Nippon Budokan night was officially recorded and broadcast on TV and radio. Many of the previously released groups have reigned as symbols of a return to Japan. In 2021, the preconception that there would be no audience recordings was completely overturned. The original cassette of the unreleased audience recording was newly unearthed, and what came out of it was a transcendent sound that even dismissed traditional FM broadcasts. It was released as "BUDOKAN 1981: DEFINITIVE MASTER", but the tremendous sound became a hot topic and became a huge hit. It was sold out and discontinued in a flash. This work is a reprint and re-release of such a legendary recording. It is not. It is an upgraded version that has been updated to the highest peak by "GRAF ZEPPELIN" mastering! A complete live album with the only flaw resolved The up-points of this work are both quality and quantity. First of all, the quantity is a complete album with no missing notes in any of the songs. In fact, the only drawback of this recording was the missed recording of the beginning of "Shadows In The Rain". The tape was changed at this timing, but the recording could not be resumed in time. In this work, such a drawback is complemented by an FM broadcast sound board. The one and only Budokan live has been reproduced in its complete form. And what is more important is the quality. The sound that runs through the whole work. This work is not a remaster that has already been released, but a re-digitalization back to the original cassette. On top of that, it is finished with meticulous mastering by "GRAF ZEPPELIN". It is not a completely different thing because it is a super-excellent sound that exceeds FM broadcasting from the beginning, but its high accuracy is guaranteed. Pitch correction that does not allow even 1/1000th of a second of deviation, balance adjustment after band analysis, various noise processing, etc. Small upgrades that poke the corners of the box are accumulated. And what was particularly effective this time was phase correction. In the original sound, the phase of the left and right channels was slightly out of sync, and when listening with headphones, the localization was slightly to the right. This work is neatly arranged. There is no longer a feeling of your hair being grabbed from the right side, and you can immerse yourself in the superb live performance without the slightest sense of discomfort. Such an upgraded sound depicts the one and only Nippon Budokan night. I'm sure you're already familiar with it, but it's such a monumental full show, so let's organize the set at the end. Zenyatta Mondatta (7 songs)・Voices Inside My Head (★)/Don't Stand So Close To Me/Man in a Suitcase/De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da/Shadows in the Rain (*)/When the World is Running Down, You Make the Best of What's Still Around/Driven To Tears Others (10 songs)・Outlands d'Amour: Truth Hits Everybody/Roxanne/Can't Stand Losin' You/So Lonely・White Regatta: Walking On the Moon/Deathwish/Bring On the Night/The Bed's Too Big Without You/Message in a Bottle・Others: Fall Out*Note: "★" marks songs that could not be heard on FM broadcasts. "*" marks songs that were filled in with missing parts. "THE POLICE at Budokan" shines brilliantly in the history of Western music in Japan. This is a live album where you can experience the only full show in history with a transcendent sound that exceeds FM broadcasts. The only drawback has been eliminated, and the recording possibilities have been pursued to the limit with meticulous mastering, making this a historic, definitive two-disc set that is nothing but a cultural heritage. Remastered after the latest transfer from the original cassette! ★The phase and bandwidth have been corrected, and the waveform is finished in a state that does not become a seaweed waveform as much as possible! The performance part is completely recorded by filling in the gap between the songs before the performance of Shadows In The Rain with the FM broadcast sound source of the same day for about ten seconds! The connection with the FM sound source can be a concern due to the difference in sound quality, but in this version, the main Aud sound source is originally of the highest quality, so there is no sense of incongruity at the connection. A superb audience recording of THE POLICE's one and only Nippon Budokan night "February 2, 1981 performance". The legendary recording, which was highly praised as "better than FM broadcast", has been refinished by GRAF ZEPPELIN, the highest peak update. Re-digitized from the original cassette, the only drawback, the beginning of "Shadows In The Rain", is also filled in with the FM sound board. This is the ultimate live album, nothing less than a cultural heritage. Budokan, Tokyo, Japan 2nd February 1981 ULTIMATE SOUND(from Original Masters) UPGRADE!!! Disc 1 (33:07) 1.
