THE POLICE in 1979, who spread the impact of their debut all over the world and achieved the breakthrough of the single "Message In A Bottle". Three soundboard albums that inject aggressive live performances into your brain will be released simultaneously! This is the third of such a trilogy. It is a stereo soundboard recording of the "November 29, 1979 New York City performance". The simultaneously released "PINKPOP FESTIVAL 1979" and "PARADISO 1979" were live albums of the "OUTLANDOS D'AMOUR Tour", but this work is a record of the "REGGATTA DE BLANC Tour" even though it is the same 1979. First, let's look back at the whole picture and check the position of the show. 1979 August 17th - September 23rd: Europe #1 (17 shows) September 27th - 30th: North America #1a (4 shows) October 2nd - December 1st: North America #1b (41 shows) ←★Here★ December 3rd - 22nd: Europe #2 (15 shows) ←※HAMMERSMITH PALAIS 1979 January 11, 1980: Hamburg performance ←※ ROCKPALAST performance January 20-February 8: North America #2 (14 performances) ←※ DKRC performance February 14-27: Japan / Hong Kong (8 performances) February 29-March 28: Oceania (10 performances) March 26 + 28: India / Egypt (2 performances) March 30-April 28: Europe #3 (14 performances) ←※ LYON 1980 FM REEL MASTER "ZENYATTA MONDATTA" production started on July 7th This is the whole picture of the "REGGATTA DE BLANC Tour". In our shop, the press masterpiece "HAMMERSMITH PALAIS 1979 (Wardour-387)" recorded by Kinney is also a standard, but the New York City performance of this work was about three weeks before that. It was the 39th concert of "North America #1b". This work recorded at such a show feels like "DISC 1 of the extended LIVE! As you know, the official version "LIVE!" was a coupling of the "1979 Boston performance" and the "1983 Atlanta performance", but this work was also the show "after the Boston performance". And the sound is also very similar. Originally, "LIVE!" was prioritized for vividness as an official work, but this work also has that feeling. No, rather, the vividness and glossiness of each sound is superior to this work. Such an official sound depicts a full show that is also more official in content. The set at the scene is the same in Boston (official) and New York (this work), but for some reason there was a cut in "LIVE!" Let's organize it by comparing them here. Outlandes d'Amour (8 songs) Next to You/So Lonely/Truth Hits Everybody/Hole in My Life/Peanuts/Roxanne/Born in the 50's/Be My Girl/Sally Others (9 songs + α) White Regatta: Walking on the Moon/Deathwish (★)/Bring on the Night/The Bed's Too Big Without You/Message in a Bottle Others: Fall Out/Visions of the Night (★)/Can't Stand Losing You/Regatta De Blanc/Landlord *Note: ★ marks are songs that cannot be heard on the official "LIVE!" ... and this is the real full set. While the Boston recording of "LIVE!" was about 71 minutes, this work is just about 80 minutes long. It includes three more songs, and even the DJ intro/outro of the radio program is fully recorded. All three titles released at the same time are unique, but this work is by far the most easy to understand and impactful. For those who love DISC 1 of "LIVE!", this is an upgraded version that promises even more satisfaction in terms of both sound and number of songs, while still having the same taste. A complete live album that literally "exceeds the official version". Stereo soundboard recording of the "New York performance on November 29, 1979". This is the "next live" performance from the Boston performance that was also included in the official work "LIVE!", and the sound is very similar. That feeling is alive, and the vividness and glossiness of each sound is superior in this work. And the show content also includes "Deathwish" and "Visions of the Night" that cannot be heard on "LIVE!", so you can enjoy the complete form of the delicious show. This is an absolute version that exceeds the official version in both quality and quantity. The Palladium, New York City, NY, USA 29th November 1979 STEREO SBD(UPGRADE) (79:52) 01.
