THE POLICE in 1979, who spread the impact of their debut all over the world and achieved the breakthrough of the single "Message In A Bottle". Three soundboard albums that inject aggressive live performances into your brain will be released at the same time! This is the highest peak master supervised by a researcher. This work is the second of such a trilogy. It is a stereo soundboard recording of the "Amsterdam performance on June 22, 1979". Speaking of 1979, it was the time when the "OUTLANDOS D'AMOUR Tour" and the "REGGATTA DE BLANC Tour" intersected, but this work is the former. In the simultaneously released "PINKPOP FESTIVAL 1979", we looked at the schedule with "1979" as a keyword, so let's take the "OUTLANDOS D'AMOUR Tour" as an introduction. 1978 October 20th - November 1st: North America #1a (12 shows) November 2nd: "OUTLANDOS D'AMOUR" released November 2nd - 15th: North America #1b (11 shows) November 25th - December 29th: UK (20 shows) 1979 January 9th - February 21st: Europe #1 (24 shows) March 1st - April 9th: North America #2 (30 shows) April 12th - 25th: Europe #2 (3 shows) April 27th - May 25th: North America #3 (23 shows) ←※CHICAGO 1979 PRE-FM May 31st - June 24th: Europe #3 (22 shows) ★Here★ August: "REGGATTA DE BLANC" completed September 21st: Single "Message In A Bottle" released》This is the whole picture of the "OUTLANDOS D'AMOUR Tour". Although they had been actively performing live since 1977 before their debut, it was only just before the release of "OUTLANDOS D'AMOUR" that it became known as the "OUTLANDOS D'AMOUR Tour". They toured Europe and North America many times, spreading the shock waves of their debut all over the world. The Amsterdam performance in this work is the final stage of such a world tour. It was the 20th concert of "Europe # 3". In addition, the simultaneously released "PINKPOP FESTIVAL 1979" is also the same "Europe # 3", so let's zoom in further to check the relative positions of each other. ・May 31st-June 2nd: UK (3 performances) ・June 4th "PINKPOP FESTIVAL 1979" ・June 6th-17th: UK (12 performances) ・June 19th-24th: Europe (6 performances) ←★Here★Here are the details of "Europe # 3". Although it was in Europe, most of the tour was in the UK, and "PINKPOP FESTIVAL 1979" was a spot performance that was performed in between. In contrast, the Amsterdam performance of this work was the fourth performance after moving to continental Europe at the end. It was two performances quite far apart in the same Netherlands. This work recorded at such a show is a great masterpiece among the three works released at the same time. The sound is extremely exquisite and crisp. It is natural that it is close to zero distance, but the graininess and elasticity of each sound, and the stereo feeling of the pan where the sharp outline is blown from one end to the other are also abnormal. Although there are also big applause mixed in between songs, the liveliness of the performance sound and vocals are directly connected to the table. All three press titles released at the same time are "fully official class", but I would like to call this work "official transcendence class" that goes even higher. It is such an extraordinary piece. And the show itself is exceptional. As mentioned above, this is the same "Europe #3" leg as "PINKPOP FESTIVAL 1979", but this work is longer than the festival appearance "PINKPOP FESTIVAL 1979". Let's check the set while comparing it here. Outlandes D'Amour Can't Stand Losing You / Truth Hits Everybody / So Lonely / Born In The 50's / Hole in My Life / Be My Girl / Sally (★) / Peanuts / Roxanne / Next to You Others White Regatta: The Bed's Too Big Without You (★) / Message in a Bottle Others: Fall Out / Can't Stand Losing You / Regatta De Blanc *Note: The "★" mark is a song that cannot be heard in "PINKPOP FESTIVAL 1979" released at the same time. ... and it is like this. "PINKPOP FESTIVAL 1979" was not only a festival, but the appearance slot itself was short only before the big break. This work was not a complete full set because "Landlord" was not broadcast, but the listening response of about an hour is still incomparable. It is not like a festival where the participating bands compete with each other, but the tension of the performance is still high enough. After the tour, THE POLICE will finish the masterpiece "REGGATTA DE BLANC" and push forward to a breakthrough. What is sealed in this work is the great performance just before that. A superb stereo sound board that imprints the fierce live performance of ambition into the folds of the brain. Stereo sound board recording of "Amsterdam performance on June 22, 1979". The sound is extremely superb and gritty. Of course, it is close to zero distance, but the graininess and elasticity of each sound, and the stereo feeling of the pan where the sharp outline is blown from one end to the other is also abnormal. Although there are some loud applause mixed in between songs, the liveliness of the performance and vocals is so vivid that it is like being directly connected to the table, making this an "official transcendent class" superb album.
