THE POLICE in 1980, who challenged the new 80s by releasing a series of masterpiece albums in rapid succession. A masterpiece that will further enrich the professional shot collection is here. This work was shot at the "Mexico City performance on November 15, 1980". It is a multi-camera professional shot. Speaking of 1980, it was the era when the "REGGATTA DE BLANC Tour" and the "ZENYATTA MONDATTA Tour" switched. As if reflecting the momentum of the band, several masterpiece professional shots were left behind. Let's start by taking a bird's-eye view of the activities at that time, which also serves as an organization of the collection. 1980, January 11: Hamburg performance ←※ROCKPALAST 1980, January 20-February 8: North America #1 (14 performances) ←※DKRC 1980, February 14-April 28: Oceania #1/Asia #1/Europe #1 (34 performances) ・July 26-September 2: Europe #2 (16 performances)《ZENYATTA MONDATTA released on October 3》・October 15+18: West Germany #1 (2 performances) ←※ESSEN 1980 October 21st - December 8th: North America #2 (31 performances) ←★Here★ December 14th - 23rd: South America / UK #1 (6 performances) 1981 January 7th - February 26th: North America #3 / Asia #2 / Oceania #2 (27 performances) 《October "GHOST IN THE MACHINE" released》 October 1st - 9th: West Germany #2 (7 performances) December 12th - 31st: UK #2 (10 performances) This is THE POLICE in 1980 / 1981. The Mexico City performance of this work was the 17th concert of "North America #2", which is one act of the "ZENYATTA MONDATTA Tour". This show was also THE POLICE's first and only Mexican performance in the 1980s. At that time, Mexico was a developing country in rock, and the visit of the up-and-coming THE POLICE was a kind of incident. Although the venue, set up in a hotel under construction, had a capacity of 2000 people, only 1000 general public guests were allowed in. The remaining 1000 seats were reserved for politicians, who were invited to watch the concert while enjoying a buffet, which was an unusual scene. This work is also a valuable record of such a special performance. It was a special program organized by a local TV station, and part of the show was broadcast. This work was made into a DVD from the best master of such a rare broadcast. In fact, the quality of this work confirms its history. The analog-like image quality is very much like the 1980s, and the slightly dark screen speaks of the Mexican standards of the time. On the other hand, the freshness of the master is amazing. Although there is white line noise (for a moment) in the scene where the program personality is talking, the rest is glossy and noiseless. There is no stiffness or crushing due to dubbing, and no deterioration over time is felt. It is full of freshness as if it were directly receiving the broadcast waves from 45 years ago. Although the cinematography has a sense of the unexplored land of "1980s Mexico," as a musical work, it allows you to immerse yourself in the youthful THE POLICE. Such beautiful images depict the stage of the young THE POLICE, who are experiencing a foreign country for the first time. As mentioned above, it is a TV special, so it is edited to fit the broadcast time frame of about 40 minutes, and is far from a full show, but it is packed with a group of killer masterpieces. Let's check the breakdown here. Outlandos d'Amour (3 songs), So Lonely / Roxanne / Truth Hits Everybody Others (4 songs), White Regatta: Bring On the Night / Message in a Bottle, Zenyatta Mondatta: Driven To Tears / De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da ... and so on. I don't know if THE POLICE albums were available in Mexico at that time, but the selection is clearly centered on their representative songs. It is a "best album to see with your eyes" that condenses and reduces the essence of the first three albums. And the off-shots inserted between these masterpieces are also interesting. The three of them stroll around the local open-air market with a suspicious look on their faces, playing with the ethnic instruments they find. Interviews with an interpreter and sound checks are also inserted, depicting the special feeling of the event that was an incident. A precious Mexican performance that was realized only once in the 1980s. This is a professional shot that overflows with the sense of history. Although you can't expect rare songs, the scene itself is full of preciousness. This is a must-see and must-have for collectors. A multi-camera professional shot of the "Mexico City performance on November 15, 1980". A special program with local TV songs, the camerawork and screen exude a sense of Mexico's hidden land, while the master freshness is tremendous. There is no stiffness or crushing due to dubbing, and it is very glossy. An off-shot of playing with ethnic instruments in the open air is also inserted, and it is a must-see piece with a deep sense of history of the Mexican performance that was realized only once in the 1980s.
