THE POLICE collection's masterpiece "ROXY 1979: PRE-FM RADIO REEL" immediately after its debut received great acclaim. A masterpiece soundboard album that can be called a sequel is now available. This work was recorded at “Miami performance on May 4, 1979”. This is a stereo soundboard recording recorded at the first stage of the two performances in one day held at the club “FAT CAT”. At the time, they were in the midst of spreading the impact of ``OUTLANDOS D'AMOUR'' across the United States, and it was also the eve of their breakthrough with the single ``Message In A Bottle.'' First, let's try to imagine the mood at the time by looking at the schedule at the time. 1978/October 20th-November 1st: North America #1a (12 performances) <<OUTLANDOS D'AMOUR" released on November 2nd>/November 2nd-15th: North American #1b (11 performances) November 25th - December 29th: UK (20 performances) 1979, January 9th - February 21st: Europe #1 (24 performances), March 1st - April 9th: North America #2 ( 30 performances) April 12th - 25th: Europe #2 (3 performances) April 27th - May 25th: North America #3 (23 performances) ←★Coco★・May 31st - June 24th Sun: Europe #3 (22 performances) [August "REGGATTA DE BLANC" completed] [September 21st: Single "Message In A Bottle" released] This is a summary of activities related to the debut work "OUTLANDOS D'AMOUR". Even this is not all of 1978/1979, but even before their debut work and before and after the release of "REGGATTA DE BLANC", they were fully immersed in live performances. The next work, ``REGGATTA DE BLANC'', had also begun production in the UK, but in the interim, they invaded the United States. The Miami performance of this work is the 6th performance of "North America #3". It was also about two weeks before the release of "ROXY 1979: PRE-FM RADIO REEL," which was released the other day and received great acclaim. This show is also known for being broadcast on Chicago's radio station "WSHE-FM" and is a famous sound source that represented the early days. This work is the highest peak master that has appeared in recent years, but the sound is so wonderful that it is a classic. The mix is a little rough since it was a local broadcast from the 70's, and the sound has a vintage feel to it. Although it cannot be advertised as ``completely official quality!'' to the general public, this is also an advantage for vintage broadcast enthusiasts. The analog sound has a warmth to it, and the rough mix is "equal to rawness." It has nothing to do with the (pseudo) experience or sense of scale of a concert, and the handmade feel of the broadcast itself, which simply says, ``I want to introduce this hot band!'' is irresistible. However, the texture is different from "ROXY 1979". “ROXY 1979” had a sharp edge and aggressive sound, but this work is more natural and neat. There is a beauty that encompasses the entire ensemble. If “ROXY 1979” is the type where the overflowing passion cuts into your brain, this work is the type of soundboard where your whole body is synchronized with the performance itself. And not only the sound but also the live performance itself is similar to "ROXY 1979". Let's organize the sets while comparing them. Outlands d'Amour (9 songs)・Can't Stand Losing You/Truth Hits Everybody/So Lonely/Born In The 50's/Hole in My Life/Be My Girl?Sally/Peanuts/Roxanne/Next to You Others (3 songs) )・Fall Out/Message in a Bottle/No Time This Time (★) *Note: Songs marked with “★” cannot be heard on “ROXY 1979: Pre-FM Radio Reel.” ...and it looks like this. “ROXY 1979” was an irregular show that played “Can’t Stand Losing You” twice, but this work has no such duplication. There is no “Landlord”, but if “No Time This Time” is performed instead (?), there will be no complaints. For us, this is a song that brings back memories of our first visit to Japan, but it is also an extremely rare song that has only been played a handful of times around the world. The real thrill of enjoying it on a sound board that is directly connected to your brain is exceptional. The newly discovered master reel of “ROXY 1979” was shocking, but this work surpasses it in terms of listenability and beauty. With such a sound, it is a cultural heritage-class live album where you can enjoy the huge number of ``OUTLANDOS D'AMOR'' and the extremely rare ``No Time This Time.'' THE POLICE was on fire at the time of their debut. Stereo soundboard recording of "May 4, 1979 Miami Performance". A vivid yet easy-to-listen masterpiece broadcast on WSHE-FM. The analog sound has a warmth to it, and the rough mix is "equal to rawness." It has nothing to do with the (pseudo) experience of a concert or the sense of scale, but the handmade feel of the broadcast itself, which simply says, ``I want to introduce this hot band!'' is irresistible. Nine songs from ``OUTLANDOS D'AMOUR'' were played on a large scale, and they even performed the extremely rare song ``No Time This Time,'' which has only been played a handful of times. This is truly a live album worthy of cultural heritage. Fat Cat, Miami, Florida, USA 4th May 1979 Early Show STEREO SBD FM Broadcast (WSHE-FM) (56:42) 1. Intro 2. Can't Stand Losing You 3.
