From the 1972 "Unfinished Madness Tour", the Manchester performance on March 30th was almost completely recorded with a superb audience recording with outstanding freshness. The performance on this day was held on March 29th and 30th as a rescheduled performance because the performance on the same venue on February 11th ended in 25 minutes due to a power system problem. It was believed that only poor sound quality existed for the take of the 30th performance, but a high-quality version that overturns those evaluations is now available. The legendary early 1972 UK tour and the performance immediately after the subsequent Japanese tour. The first half of "Madness" is unfortunately cut out at the end of Eclipse, but up to that point it is recorded uncut. You will think "Oh" from the guitar play that seems to be searching for something from the intro of Breathe. In On The Run, the piano is missed and it is tried again, but you can hear the performance with a wonderful sense of speed. In Time/Breathe, Nick's drums that seem to be a little delayed resonate powerfully. The church-like organ of The Great Gig In The Sky is recorded with a surprisingly clear sound, and the experimental S.E. that follows is interesting. Gilmour's creative play with varying speed in Any Colour You Like is a must-listen. Nick's percussion play in Brain Damage is also unique and interesting. Eclipse has an effective back sequence-like effect. The second part is also recorded with a very powerful sound, especially Nick's cymbal hits. The best song of the day is Echoes, and you can hear the overwhelming performance that leaves you speechless. The sound check time from Echoes to Set The Controls is also recorded for a long time, which adds to the atmosphere. The mysterious performance of STCFTHOTS is also wonderful (the clear organ sound is the best), and it makes you feel the fulfillment of the performance of this day. The second part is a must-listen for all Floyd fans because the performance and sound are simply wonderful. It's probably a more satisfying piece than you'd imagine.
