This is a must-listen, must-have, must-have recording for all Floyd fans, recorded on January 28th in Leeds, the sixth performance of the January 1972 UK tour, where "Dark Side Of The Moon" was first performed live. 20 January The Dome, Brighton, England (DSOTM premiere) 21 January Guildhall, Portsmouth, England 22 January Winter Gardens, Bournemouth, England 23 January Guildhall, Southampton, England 27 January City Hall, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England 28 January PF Town Hall, Leeds, England ★ The sound source itself uses the master that is currently considered to be the best, known among traders as "You are Number Six". However, this sound source is about a semitone lower overall, so it has been adjusted. Also, by restoring the pitch to normal, the part that was separated after One Of These Days can be placed at the beginning of the second part, and you can enjoy this precious sound source in an ideal arrangement, with "Madness" on Disc 1 and the second half of the show and encore on Disc 2. At this stage, the part of On The Run, which was called Travel Sequence, captures the sharp lead riff with great force, without the use of a sequencer. The overall color scheme is still unfinished and immature, so you can listen to the early development and evolution version of the prototype "Madness" in its raw state with interest. You can enjoy Floyd's performance of this period with a very excellent recording. (From 2 minutes 30 seconds of Brain Damage to Eclipse and One Of These Days, there is intense tape unevenness due to severe tape deterioration and playback problems caused by the master tape.) However, from the following "Eugene", it is completely restored, and the rest is Echoes, "Sun Hymn", which is more than 30 minutes long, Blues, which is the only performance confirmed at the local performance of the 1972 UK tour, and you can enjoy the whole picture of the precious live performance of this period with calm and excellent sound quality. Due to the sound problem in the middle part mentioned above, there are very few bootleg titles of this performance on the market, and there are probably many Floyd fans who have not heard it, but more than 90% of the overall sound quality is stable and high quality, so fans should definitely listen.
