Pink Floyd is a rare artist who has released high-quality works that can all be considered masterpieces, but one album that has been highly praised in terms of sales and content is ``THE WALL'' released in 1979. It is a masterpiece that sold 30 million copies worldwide despite being a two-disc set. In 1979, punk and new wave dominated the music scene, and traditional rock was considered outdated as old (old wave), and even Zeppelin, who led the 70s, was likened to a dinosaur that was too big to move. In such a social climate, the success of ``THE WALL'' can be said to be solely due to the quality of its rich content. And as the album's phenomenal sales were received, a tour was also held as a matter of course. In Floyd's previous tours, it was customary to hold tours in countries around the world, but for ``THE WALL'' the set was huge, complex, and grandiose, and considering the cost of the production and other factors, it was a medium-sized tour with only 31 shows in four cities. The four cities are Los Angeles and New York, London in the UK, and Dortmund in Germany. This work is from the first half of the tour in the US, and records the Uniondale performance in New York on February 28, 1980. This day is also the final day of the US tour following Los Angeles. The sound quality is wonderful, close to the sound board, even though it is an audience sound source, and it is completely recorded with ultra-high sound quality at a close distance that seems impossible even today. The sound spread and range are recorded with an ideal audience recording that is hard to believe in 1980, so it is famous as one of the representative sound sources of this tour.
