The second leg of the 1975 US tour, which began in June and is a treasure trove of superb audiences and a huge hit with enthusiasts, began in June. Even just mentioning places like Jersey City, Nassau, and Boston provided a collection of audience recordings with exceptional sound quality that would have been immediately obvious to enthusiasts. Among these, the Landover 2 Days, held at the beginning of the tour, has now been completely overlooked. On these two days, the first day featured multiple sources with different nuances, each with its own issues. On the second day, only the first set was recorded. The first day was known as a particularly unfortunate day, but the masterpiece "DEFINITIVE LANDOVER 1975" put an end to that situation. It was a truly definitive release, scrutinizing the multiple sources available and compiling the first day and even the second day. However, it's already been 10 years since the release of this masterpiece. It's not just that the Landover 75 has become so rare on the secondhand market, but it's also become far less well-known than the other great recordings mentioned above. In fact, there are many who have never heard of the Landover 75. In fact, the Landover was one of the most eagerly anticipated 75 Floyd recordings to be reissued. This week, the long-awaited new release for Landover enthusiasts will finally be realized. Ten years have passed, but it's a blessing that new upgraded recordings have been released in the meantime. Given these materials, it was "GRAF ZEPPELIN" who created a new Landover. For the first set, the Sigma 142 used [Source 2], a copy of the third generation (see source summary note at the end of this article). In contrast, this time, I used [Source 1] (see source summary note at the end of this article), which clearly excels in sound quality, despite the unknown generation, for the first time. The upper note is clear, and once you listen to [Source 1], the first set of Sigma 142 sounds muddy. Furthermore, the sound image is closer to [Source 1] this time, so using it eliminates the disparity in sound quality with the second set and beyond, offering a major advantage: enjoying high-quality sound overall. From the second set to the end, we again used the first-gen [Source 3] (see audio source organization note at the end of this article). The sound quality has been renowned since the release of Sigma 142, but this time, thanks to GRAF ZEPPELIN's complete reworking of the sound source, it feels as if the final layer of the already excellent sound has been removed, creating a truly vivid sound. The vividness of the ticking sound in "Time" and the gradual fade-out of Gilmour's cutting as "Echoes" transitions into the middle section are particularly impressive. The second day also saw the nostalgic release of "LANDOVER 1975" as a single disc, which was then re-released on 142. Of course, this release, thanks to GRAF ZEPPELIN's thorough reworking, delivers a deeper sound than those two titles. While it doesn't quite reach the same scorching soundscape as the previous day's [Source 3], it's still a truly high-quality release for a '75 Audience. While it's still a shame that only the first set is included, the raw power of the new songs, typical of the first set of the '75 tour, is fully appreciated. The two-day Landover performance is consistently mono, and while the famous June '75 Audience recordings mentioned earlier were mostly stereo, the mono version offers a richer, more vivid sound, with instruments and phrases seemingly leaping out of the speakers. The first day in particular is particularly captivating, as the unique appeal of mono recordings explodes from the opening, compared to the Sigma 142 recording. Amidst a tour blessed with an abundance of sound sources, the '75 Landover 2-Days seemed like an isolated island, abandoned for 10 years. 142, which has been a daunting commodity for enthusiasts who have never even heard of Landover, has been completely absent from the secondhand market. Graf Zeppelin has reborn this recording, a rare find for enthusiasts who have never even heard of Landover. This first remastered release in 10 years features the entire Landover performance on June 9th and the first set on the 10th (up to the first set)! While the main performance on the 9th is the same source, it offers a best selection of different sources. While the overall content follows the same concept as the 147 release, the first set of the 9th performance on Disc 1 is likely a 3rd Gen recording on the 147 release. While the new release is undoubtedly a fresher, more up-to-date recording, it's the best master available. Overall, this is the definitive Landover performance, carefully remastered to the latest standards! [Source Reorganization] Opening Day, June 9th: While the following recordings are all from the same source, there are multiple variations in sound quality and texture that have arisen during the distribution process. Three representative examples are listed below.・Source 1 "Unknown Gen stratcat58 tape" Used in the 1st set This is the best source of the 1st set. The sound quality of the Madness part of the 2nd set is inferior. ・Source 2 "3rd Gen Marbal Collection" Unused this time Apparently it's the 3rd Gen, but this was probably used in the first part of Sigma142. The sound quality of the 2nd set is better than the above sources, but the 2nd set is inferior to the sound source below, so it was not used this time. ・Source 3 "cass[1]-cdr(3) Bert13" Used this time for Madness and Echoes Only the 2nd set after Madness is available, but this is the part with the best sound out of the three. Day 2 June 10th (1st set only) As of now, only the 1st set has been confirmed to be in circulation for the 2nd day performance on the 10th.
