This is the definitive edition of the London Festival Hall performance on April 14, 1969, which is known for its importance to Floyd fans and its experimental performances, and is also known for its high documentary value, with two precious audio and video recordings. First, the audio recording of the first half of "The Man" is a 40-minute take (Recorder 1) recorded from a cassette tape recorded by a taper at the time using a Dictaphone type (a device for shorthand recording and playback). The second half of "The Journey" is a 55-minute take recorded from a reel tape recorded by a different taper (Recorder 2). Incidentally, both are tape versions of "Jon R.", which is currently considered to be the lowest generation, and although there is some hiss noise, the vintage sound that feels like the master itself is wonderful, and they are extremely valuable both historically and as documents. In addition, the DVD coupled with the DVD contains about 25 minutes of video of the rehearsal take on the day. This is an upgraded version of the black and white pro-shot footage known to fans, and is a high-quality video that can be said to be the master itself. The master is a 16mm film, so the owner of the film put it on a VHS tape and then made it into a DVD. By the way, one camera recorded the precious rehearsal and sound check at that time, which only those involved could see, in close-up footage, which is extremely valuable for knowing what Floyd was like on stage at that time. The video starts with the bluesy Biding My Time, followed by footage of Roger and Gilmour playing Green Is The Colour on acoustic guitar, and at the end, Roger switches to the bass and plays the intro to Eugne, and after the instrumental part in the middle of Cymbaline, the band meets with Roger at the center. In particular, it captures scenes such as Nick playing drums along with Roger's early rhythm machine, and Rick playing the end theme of "Mystery" on the pipe organ installed in the venue, making this a valuable limited collector's edition along with the audio recordings.
