The 1975 Knebworth Festival, the only UK performance of the "WISH YOU WERE HERE Tour" and also known for its collaboration with Roy Harper, just like the album. A full live album that allows you to fully experience that historic scene has been born. This work was recorded, of course, at "Knebworth Park on July 5, 1975". It is a three-disc audience recording set that vacuum-packs the whole story. In recent years, our shop has archived Floyd's famous records with the highest peak update master, and the "WISH YOU WERE HERE Tour" has also delivered various masterpieces. This time, let's check the overall picture of the tour with the masterpieces of each leg.・April 8-21: North America #1a (8 performances) ←※CALIFORNIA SOUNDBOARD ・April 23-27: North America #1b (5 performances in LA) ←※ULTIMATE MILLARD ・June 7-28: North America #2 (15 performances) ←※DEFINITIVE BOSTON 1975 ・July 5: Knebworth Festival appearance ←★This work★《September 12th "WISH YOU WERE HERE" released》 This is the whole view of the "WISH YOU WERE HERE Tour". The above is just an example to imagine each leg, but these four works can also quickly trace the course of the tour. Among them, Knebworth of this work was a home country performance different from any other leg. This day was also a historic milestone. The "WISH YOU WERE HERE Tour" also featured a complete reproduction of "Madness", and this work is the final day. Of course, there was a full performance of "The Dark Side of the Moon" during Roger's solo and after he left Floyd, but this was the last time that the four originators performed live together. This work is a full live album that allows you to fully experience such a unique stage. It combines the best existing masters and brushes up with meticulous mastering by "GRAF ZEPPELIN". It is a complete album that seamlessly reproduces the day. What is important is how the recordings are put together. First, let's introduce the audience recordings that will be the material. ・RECORDER 1: A famous recording that has represented this performance for many years. Mono. ・RECORDER 2: Highly realistic, but with a slightly larger voice from the audience (not used) ・RECORDER 3: A slightly distant mono recording. ・RECORDER 4: The best stereo recording. Only "The Dark Side of the Moon" and the encore. Currently, eight recordings of this day have been discovered, and the main ones are the above four. "RECORDER 1" is our standard "KNEBWORTH PARK", and "RECORDER 4" is also known as "KNEBWORTH 1975 NEWMASTER". The "WISH YOU WERE HERE Tour" is known as a two-part structure, but this work combines three of them as follows. Part 1: "RECORDER 1 (main) + RECORDER 3 (complementary)" Part 2: "Madness" + Encore: "RECORDER 4 (main) + RECORDER 1 (complementary)" ... and so on. While making the most of the stereo recording "RECORDER 4", which has the best sound quality, the missed parts are patched with the longest recording "RECORDER 1". The parts that are missing in both are further supplemented with "RECORDER 3". The supplementary parts are "17 seconds" in the first part (DISC 1), "3 minutes / 44 seconds" in two places in the second part (DISC 2), and "2 minutes 28 seconds / 23 seconds" in two places in the encore (DISC 3). There have been supplementary parts in the past, but this work updates the longest record. It is the first full live album that checked all eight existing recordings and reproduced the day as much as possible. And the finish is also the best ever. The parts introduced in "KNEBWORTH PARK" and "KNEBWORTH 1975 NEWMASTER" were also polished back to the original master. The sound quality difference between each sound source was eliminated as much as possible before connecting them, realizing a seamless and immersive sound. Of course, each sound source is also the best ever. The pitch and phase are precisely corrected to 1/1000 seconds, and the balance adjustment by band analysis is also perfect. And the elimination of hum noise is particularly big this time. In particular, random hum occurred in "RECORDER 4," but in this work, it is clear and easy to listen to. The key here is the amount of noise removal. The hum itself is random, and if it is automatically removed with mastering software, the essential performance sound will be distorted. In this work, the noise is processed precisely to the limit of what changes with each song and part, and the performance sound is not affected. It is not a blind flashiness, but the pursuit of precision. This is the true value of "GRAF ZEPPELIN". The historical scene that has been revived in this way is dizzying in its reality. As mentioned above, "Madness" with all the originators and "How about a Cigar" with Roy Harper are also moving, but even the intervals between the songs that have been reproduced to the maximum are heavy. The most intense one is "You've Got To Be Crazy." Roger calls out the name of the song and plays a guitar riff, but it stops and restarts 45 seconds later. This alone is unusual, but things start to get turbulent after 6 minutes. The organ's pitch starts to go out of sync, and the ending where everyone harmonizes at the 11-minute mark also falls apart. And then there's more documentation. They start a sound check, which takes 9 minutes and completely stops the show. Meanwhile, Roger is explaining the situation to the audience in strange detail, saying things like "There's a problem with the tuning of the organ" and "The wrong power frequency (voltage) caused the Hammond problems." If the situation is irregular, even Roger's tone, which seems to be completely irritated, is strange. The sound of this work faithfully and accurately reproduces even that tense mood. This is the final destination of the "WISH YOU WERE HERE Tour" and the final "madness" played by "those four". This is a three-disc set that perfectly reproduces the historic night with the best sound ever, even with all the troubles. The original Pink Floyd "Dark Side Of The Moon" (all songs) and the last performance of "Echoes"! [Sound source organization] Rec1: Mono Aud. From a distance, but better overall (sound quality 2-3 points / 5 points maximum) ★Already released Rec2: Stereo Aud (Nigel B) Realistic sound, like picking up two PAs / Noisy audience / Lots of distortion (3 points) Rec3: Mono Aud (Marbal) Natural sound, but from a distance, fluffy and unstable with pitch distortion (2 points) Rec4: Stereo Aud for now. Best overall, but the opening "Raving" to "Shine On" are not included (3 points) ★Already released Rec5: Rec3 Marbal's Eclipse supplement part and Echoes used for poor sound quality (1 point) Rec6: Close, stereo separation, muddy sound, down band after 16khz / unnatural clapping sound (3 points) Rec7: A variation of Rec2, so ignore Rec8: New Mono Aud source. A little further away than Rec1 / Echoes not yet collected / Lots of microphone rustling (2-3 points) This is the first title to fully record all songs using multiple existing sound sources. As mentioned above, there are 8 types of Aud sound sources, but roughly speaking, there are 3 usable sources: Rec1, Rec3, and Rec4. By the way, among these 8 types, Rec2 (familiar with Nigel B from the '74 Wembley recording) is actually a realistic and interesting sound, but the Aud noise that can be heard from beginning to end is irritating. Furthermore, perhaps due to the characteristics of the venue, the sound image changes frequently and is difficult to hear, so it is not suitable for general users (?) and is not used on this disc. As a result, the sound source selection is very conservative. Disc 1 is based on Rec1, and Discs 2-3 are based on Rec4, and the missing parts are filled in with sub-sound sources as appropriate to achieve complete recording. The minimum necessary EQ processing has been done, and especially low frequency noise (hum noise) has been removed from both Rec1 and Rec4, allowing you to experience a very clean sound. A complete audience recording of the "Knebworth performance on July 5, 1975". This is a three-disc set that combines the best existing masters to update the longest ever, and the finishing of each sound source and the accuracy of the connections are the highest ever with the meticulous mastering of "GRAF ZEPPELIN". You can fully experience the historic night without leaving anything out, including the final complete performance of "Madness" by the original four members, "How about a Cigar" performed with Roy Harper just like on the album, and "You've Got To Be Crazy" where the equipment troubles are vividly documented. * 47TH ANNIVERSARY!! ★Live performance 47 years ago today.
