From the European tour in the summer of 1988 accompanying "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason", Germany was held for three consecutive days, and the first day of the Dortmund performance, June 27th, was completely recorded with high-quality audience recording. The sound source previously released in 2006 under the title "THE RETURN OF NIGHTMARE" is remastered using current technology. It perfectly reproduces the entire show with clear, stable, and extremely high-quality sound. Speaking of Dortmund's Westfalenhall, it is famous for Floyd fans as the venue where they held eight consecutive performances of "The Wall" in 1981, and this performance will be Floyd's first live performance at the same venue in seven years. That's what it means. A 2-disc set that completely records that historic night with perfect sound. Unlike the other "A Momentary Lapse Of Reason" tours, which had many live performances at outdoor venues, the sound quality had a 70's Floyd atmosphere, and you could feel a classical mood that was a little different from other live performances. Masu. Although the sound feels a little distant, the localization and balance of the sound are perfect, and it feels really comfortable, allowing you to listen to this wonderful show. The loss of music due to tape change is about the beginning of Welcome To The Machine, and it is no exaggeration to say that the content is almost perfect. (The squeak-like sound of the tape at the 3 minute mark of Money is due to the original sound.) In particular, the second part, The Great Gig In The Sky, Wish You Were Here, Us And Them, etc., was recorded in the appropriate atmosphere of the venue. You can immerse yourself in Floyd's performance in a very pleasant way. In a good way, it's a "depressed" live performance that can be enjoyed with a classical sound resembling a high-quality audience recording from the 1970s. This is the definitive version of the 1988 Dortmund performance. Live at Westfalenhalle, Dortmund, Germany 27th June 1988 TRULY AMAZING/PERFECT SOUND Disc 1(77:49) 1. Shine On You Crazy Diamond 2.
