From the first North American tour in 1972, the Hollywood performance on the second day of the tour in Florida has been almost completely recorded by combining two existing sound sources. This performance has not yet been booted, but the collector world has "Recorder 1", which contains all the main sets except for the encore Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun as high-quality audience recordings, and the second half of "Madness" (Us And There is an incomplete version of "Recorder 2" that still exists, which includes the second half of the show excluding "Them onwards" and One Of These Days, and the encore "Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun" that can only be heard here (the sound quality is " Recorder 1 is better). Therefore, this edition connects the missing Echoes intro, outro MC, and Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun to "Recorder 1", which has excellent sound quality and almost completely records the main set. For the first time, we have achieved the longest version with all songs included. Of course, the pitch of both sound sources is also accurately corrected. The good-sounding “Recorder 1” was famous, but “Recorder 2” is rare, and most people will probably hear Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun on this day for the first time. "Recorder 2" lacks clarity and has a plain sound image compared to "Recorder 1", but the sound quality is not bad at all, the freshness of the sound, the localization (we corrected the phase independently this time), and the condition are also very good. You can listen with peace of mind. The main “Recorder 1” uses a stereo take called 1st Gen that is reminiscent of recording close to the stage. The sound quality is very good, and although the performance itself is on the right side, the soft analog sound has an outstanding atmosphere, and it is a great recording where you can clearly hear every detail of the performance. Speak To Me is recorded for about the first 10 seconds, and Breathe is recorded as a cut-in. (You can hear the sound of the tape playing at 2:22.) This day's performance had some equipment trouble at the beginning, and it was also the beginning of the North American tour, so I got the impression that the performance was not getting through, and the content was not very good. That's not a good impression. At the start of Breathe, Gilmour's guitar is clearly not in good condition, and it immediately recedes, and from then on, it's just the three of them playing until the middle of the song (Light does a good job during that time.) From then on, he recovers, but the content somehow doesn't feel solid. It has become a concert. It's a far cry from the great performance they showed on their UK/Japan tour from January to March, but the next day in Colombia, they're going to play such an amazing live show, so I don't know what the band is all about. However, as a record, it is a first-class product, and it is definitely a "must-have" sound source for fans, and as its best and longest version, I hope you will take this opportunity to add it to your collection.
