[Legendary Brighton performance known for the world premiere of "Madness"] A concept song that remains in rock history, "Madness". The most important historical recording known for its world premiere is now available. The best master will be released on 2CD. This work includes “Brighton performance on January 20, 1972”. This is the best audience recording recorded on the first day of “DARK SIDE OF THE MOON Tour 1972-1973”. This show is already a legend in Floyd history. The masterpiece of the century, ``Madness,'' is also famous for being created on stage. After the outline was finalized at the end of 1971, the tour began, and over the course of about a year, the band continued to play and refine it every day until it reached its final form. The Brighton performance of this work is the first day. It was the moment when a song that would be called one of rock's greatest masterpieces was performed in public for the first time (albeit as a prototype). This alone is historic, but the day didn't end there. As they approached "Money", a problem occurred with the equipment, and the performance of "Madness" was interrupted. In the end, it wasn't a complete performance (by the way, the first complete performance was the next day at Portsmouth), but instead they played the unscheduled "Atom Shinbo" as if nothing had happened. It was also an extremely rare performance that revealed their ability and resourcefulness as a live band. [The highest peak master who can experience the historical scene with a first-hand feeling] The biggest factor that such a historic show could become a legend was that the famous recording of the audience was left behind. In addition to the show content, the sound quality is excellent, and many previously released masterpieces have been born. Like official masterpieces, it has been repeatedly upgraded in line with the times. Then, in 2016, the master who reigned as the highest peak until now appeared. It was the masterpiece “BRIGHTON JANUARY 1972”. At our store, we have been pursuing the best masters of each era, such as the 1st generation edition, but "BRIGHTON JANUARY 1972" was on a different level. The upgrades were both in length and sound. In particular, the time from the occurrence of equipment trouble in "Money" to the start of "Atom Heart Mother" was recorded for a long time, making the passage of time at that time, including tuning, feel more realistic. And even more than that is the sound that runs through the whole story. It has long been famous for its powerful core closeness and delicate details, but in ``BRIGHTON JANUARY 1972'' its virtues were even more vivid, and even the silent parts were unusually deep. There was so little hiss that you couldn't hear it even when you listened to it with headphones, giving it a jet-black depth, and each note that came out stood out clearly, down to the outline, and the extended rumble was shining with luster and luster. . All the songs and all the notes were reborn, but what I would like to highlight is the trouble scene in "Money". A hum noise begins in the middle of the previous song, "The Mortality Sequence", and its wavelength gradually increases until it is unavoidably interrupted by "Money". The eerie increase in noise and the way each instrument's sound scatters are so realistic that it feels like it's happening right in front of your eyes. Moreover, on this day, it was the premiere where no one knew the true nature of the song. Since the performance made full use of heartbeats and register sound effects, it was unclear for the audience whether the loud noise was part of the music or a problem. Even when ``Money'' was interrupted, the performance erupted into applause despite the audience being suspicious, and ``Atomic Heart Mother'' began as if it had been planned from the beginning... The scene is depicted with a strange reality. I couldn't help but talk about the troubles, but other parts were also unique to the first performance. “Breath of Life” has unstable lyrics and melody, “The Travel Sequence” is an instrumental jam, “Time” has no alarm SE, “Breeze (Reprise)” has no lyrics yet, minor songs It is interesting to see the original appearance of great masterpieces, such as ``The Mortality Sequence'', which features Bible reading sound effects with a key organ in the background. After closing the first part with ``Atomic Heart Mother,'' the second part began in a regular concert format, featuring classical music. Here too, a number of famous performances that are famous in history are depicted with the highest peak of beautiful sound. [Permanently preserve the ultimate sound that you can't hope for anymore] This is a long digression, but "BRIGHTON JANUARY 1972" was the pinnacle master of groundbreaking traditional recording. And because of its greatness, it was sold out and out of print shortly after its announcement. It remained unavailable for a long time. This work is the legendary master 2CD. Actually, if you ask me, "Is it exactly the same as BRIGHTON JANUARY 1972?", it's not. Recently, we have been introducing a brush-up version of traditional recordings, and this work was also remastered as part of that project. If you are familiar with my previous works, you will understand that I have mastered them with the utmost precision, paying close attention to detail, but this work is completely different! did not. The finish at the time of ``BRIGHTON JANUARY 1972'' was so perfect that almost nothing could be changed. Physically and acoustically speaking, the mastering process has improved it, but from an auditory perspective, it may only be felt as if the overall sound pressure has become more stable. Of course, it is not impossible to finish it in a flashy way, but I don't want to do something that will pollute the most important sound source. We focused on improving accuracy and preserving it forever. "World Premiere Madness" is an indispensable part of the FLOYD collection. This is an eternal masterpiece that allows you to enjoy that legendary show at the highest quality. Even with the know-how that has been brushed up over many famous recordings, this "sound at the top" could not be surpassed. A superb audience recording of the legendary show ``January 20, 1972 Brighton Performance'', known for the worldwide premiere of ``Madness'', which was switched to ``Atom Heart Mother'' halfway through due to equipment trouble. This is the highest level master of legendary recordings, and the vividness of the outline, the luster of each note, and the depth of the silent parts are far superior to the previous edition. In "Money," you can experience a unique scene in an ultra-realistic way, such as the ominous hum of equipment trouble and the on-site mood where interruptions are treated as part of the song and burst into applause. These are 2 CDs that permanently preserve the super famous recordings that are indispensable to the FLOYD collection in the highest quality.
