A high-grade version of the familiar live footage recorded on April 29, 1970 at the KQED TV studio in San Francisco for broadcast on PBS TV is now available. Disc 1, the DVD, contains an upgraded version that has been digitized from the recently unearthed "Yumatic" tape, which was kept as the master of the TV broadcasting station. In addition to being recorded in the highest image quality ever, the quality of the audio has improved tremendously, allowing you to enjoy more realistic and powerful sound from the spread of the sound to the details. Disc 2 includes the radio sound source of the same performance. This also includes a radio broadcast version that has appeared in recent years and is considered the best ever. The granularity of the sound is wonderful, and you can see that it is clearly fresher than the previous same take. The deep, calm and clear sound that makes you believe that this is the ultimate goal is truly wonderful, and the sound is recorded with a depth that is more suitable for audio viewing, completely changing the conventional evaluation that it is not much different from the TV broadcast version. (The ending is about 15 seconds long, but it includes a joke song by the members and S.E. of a bird's voice, which is like an outro that has not been recorded on the DVD.) The contents of the DVD are familiar from the video era, but Floyd It can be said that it is an incident that the definitive professional shot video, which can be called “another Pompeii” for fans, has finally appeared with such quality. The folk-touch Grantchester Meadows played in the middle feels like a symbol of the era, and the scene of Gilmore and Roger playing acoustic guitar is a scene worth watching. A must-see is the frenzied performance scene where Roger hits the drum in Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun. A must-have title for all progressive rock fans.
