The legendary recording, known as a treasure trove of super rare songs, has been upgraded! The new master, which updates the longest and highest peak in history, is now available on 2CD. This work is engraved with the "February 11, 1970 Birmingham performance". This is a treasure audience recording. At that time, FLOYD was rapidly evolving through soundtracks and numerous experiments. The meaning of the show varies greatly depending on the small differences in time, and timing is especially important for rare songs. First, let's take a bird's-eye view of the activities at that time and explore the position of this work.・January 10th - February 28th: Europe #1 (18 shows) ←★Here★《March 1st: Production of "Atom Heart Mother" begins》・March 5th - 30th: Europe #2 (15 shows) ←※NUREMBERG 1970 and others・April 9th - May 16th: North America #1 (17 shows) ←※FILLMORE WEST 1970 and others《Tour interrupted due to equipment theft》・June 27th - July 26th: Europe #3 (7 shows) ←※HYDE PARK 1970《July 26th: Recording of "Atom Heart Mother" finished》・August 8th - September 12th: Europe #4 (4 shows)・September 26th - October 25th: North America #2 (20 shows) ←※PEPPERLAND 1970 and others・November 6th - December 22nd: Europe #5 (21 shows) ←※SHEFFIELD 1970 and others This is PINK FLOYD in 1970. In early spring, production of "Atom Heart Mother" began, and the soundtrack "Dune" was also released. The Birmingham performance of this work was the act of "Europe # 1" just before that. We have archived this short leg with as many masterpieces as possible, so let's focus on the dates further. Details of "Europe # 1" ・January 10 + 17 (2 performances) * January 18 "CROYDON 1970" ・January 19: Brighton performance * January 23 "The Man In Paris" ・January 24-February 8 (6 performances) * February 11: Birmingham performance ← ★ This work ★ ・February 12-February 28 (6 performances) In particular, the masterpiece "CROYDON 1970" reigns as a classic, but this work is one of the two great masterpieces that stand alongside that masterpiece. A famous recording has been left behind for a long time on this day, and the 1980s analog masterpiece "VIOLENCE IN BIRMINGHAM" has been passed down as a legend. This work is the same recording as that legendary album, but it is a new master that has been upgraded. This master was brought about by the same route as "YEESHKUL!", which was released recently and has been well received, and its awesomeness spans both length and sound. First of all, "length". All the performance songs were held down in the conventional master, but this work has an even greater amount of actual sound. Not only are the opening and closing parts and tape change parts longer by a few seconds, but the most shocking part is before "The Amazing Pudding". The tape breaks once and recording resumes from the sound check, but this sound adjustment is recorded for 52 seconds longer. The "sound" is an upgrade that exceeds the longest in history. This is already overwhelming. As is known from the past, it is a vintage audience, but this work has a much improved sense of stability. Previously, both the hiss and the performance sound were periodically undulating, but this new master is beautifully arranged. This effect is tremendous. Noise is a strange sound, so the music itself is normal, but the twisting and swell are a transformation of the essential performance sound. Before the noise-like nuisance, the "correct appearance" itself is not conveyed. Of course, the conventional board also tried to correct the swell by mastering, but this was not the kind of thing that could be fixed. However, the new master is stable without even needing to be fixed, the rhythm is beautifully grooved, and the long tones are fantastically straight. The specific gene of the new master has not been revealed, but it is clearly the young gene sound before deterioration occurred. Such a fresh sound is revived by the full show, which has been praised by collectors around the world as a "treasure trove of rare songs". Speaking of the first half of 1970, the April soundboard album "ULTIMATE FILLMORE WEST 1970" is a symbol, but this work is completely different even though it was only two and a half months ago. Let's organize it while comparing. Songs heard on "FILLMORE WEST 1970": The Embryo, Careful With That Axe, Eugene, Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun Others: Original songs: The Violent Sequence (Us And Them), The Amazing Pudding (Atom Heart Mother) Rare songs: Main Theme From More, Sysyphus (★), Quicksilver (★), Moonhead (★) *Note: "★" marks are super rare songs that can't even be heard on "CROYDON 1970". ...And so on. Not only the original songs of "Us And Them" and "Atom Heart Mother", but also a parade of rare songs such as "Heart Beat, Pig Meat" provided for the soundtrack "Dune", and "Main Theme" and "Quicksilver" from "More". In addition to "Quicksilver", "Sysyphus" and "Moonhead" are treasures among treasures that cannot be heard on "CROYDON 1970" or "The Man In Paris" of the same period. This is the longest and highest peak update of the treasure recording, which is full of rare songs that are important even for one song. The swell that distorted the performance has disappeared, and the rock that was in the process of evolution is now properly conveyed in this cultural heritage album. A treasure audience recording of the "February 11, 1970 Birmingham performance". A legendary recording famous since the analog era, this new master updates the longest and highest peak quality. Not only does it include about a minute of sound check, which was not included in the previous version, but the sound that runs through the entire work has also disappeared and the performance has become much more beautiful. This is a cultural heritage album where you can enjoy a large number of super rare songs such as "Sysyphus", "Quicksilver", "Moonhead", "Heart Beat, Pig Meat", "Main Theme", etc. Although the gene is unknown, the latest remastering from the low gene master allows you to experience an upgrade! In the previous version, the hiss noise went up and down periodically like ripples, and the sound itself had a strong habit of slurping, but in this version, although there is hiss, the problem of the hiss going up and down has been almost solved (there is a very small part where the hiss goes up and down with a different nuance, and the fact that there is no sound swell is a big point. In addition, as with the previous releases, there are cuts, but the end of each is recorded for a long time, although it is a few seconds (see track list)! The title is a homage to the old classic LP that was first released in the 1980s. A parade of extremely rare live takes unique to this period! Everything is worth listening to!
