Phil Collins made a comeback in 1999 with the blockbuster movie Tarzan. A collection of professional shots that lets you enjoy the mood of that time has been decided to be released. This work includes a number of TV programs from the time ``Tarzan'' was released. Nippon Broadcasting System came to Japan to promote the 12th Tokyo International Film Festival. Although there are slight differences in quality between programs, all are superb masters recorded by core recording enthusiasts. This is a collection of professional shots that you can enjoy in the same way as official documentary works. The content is wide-ranging, but can be broadly divided into three categories. Let's introduce each of them. [Promotional news program coming to Japan] The first thing that appears is "News Station", which was familiar from Western music broadcasts in the 1990s. Phil came to Japan to give a stage greeting at the Tokyo International Film Festival, but he appeared live on the night of November 6, 1999, the day before. The contents include special live performances and interviews. They will perform their songs "Two Worlds" and "You'll Be In My Heart" in a jungle set inspired by the movie, and will conduct interviews in between. The interview was short since it focused mainly on the performance, and the questions were standard entertainment industry questions such as ``How was it that you were able to participate in the movie?'' and ``Did you eat any delicious food in Japan?'' However, I still miss the loveliness of the second generation caster Osamu Watanabe, who was only 32 years old, and his words, ``I wish I could get married, but my children and grandchildren will continue to watch Tarzan'' also tickle my heart. And above all, the two special live performances are wonderful. The singing voice emanating from her jet-lagged expression is fresh, and the tone of her voice, even though she is still in her 40s, is amazing. You can hear the passionate singing that even the inserted movie scenes feel like a hindrance. [Tokyo International Film Festival & World Premiere] What follows is a TV program that covers the Tokyo International Film Festival held the next day, November 7, 1999. We have put together several programs, including scenes from world premiere events in Hollywood. At the Tokyo International Film Festival, there is a standard stage greeting to express gratitude for the honor, but what goes beyond that is the live performance. You can see a professional shot of the mini stage that was shown after the preview was over. While watching the competition, he said in Japanese, ``Good evening, Tokyo. Did you enjoy the movie? Today we're going to play some songs that you all know, but first we're going to play the song from ``Tarzan.'' Two Worlds” will be shown. According to a female broadcaster in the program studio, she also sang "Easy Lover," but I would have rather they played that one... The program reporting on the world premiere event includes interviews with Hollywood stars who acted as voice actors and a documentary on the film's music. It's funny to hear Glenn Close say, ``I'm glad I played the role of a kind mother this time. Up until now, I've only played evil stepmothers and witches,'' but what I'm curious about is Phil's music documentary. The recording scene in which he skillfully sings in French → Spanish → Italian → German, and the story of the composition stage are also interesting. ``Songs that act as narrators of the story'' ``How do we explain the story?'' ``At first I wrote it with the intention of having the characters sing it.'' ``Eventually I started thinking about singing it myself.'' It was easier to write the songs together (than for my own album),” etc. Even now, when you think of Disney animation, it's so well-established that it's musical-like, so much so that you think of it as a PV, but even the behind-the-scenes details are told in Phil's own words. Moreover, since this work is broadcast in Japan, each word is subtitled, making the content vividly conveyed. The last one is "You'll Be In My Heart". I play lightly on the piano that is there, but this is also really bittersweet. Phil says, ``My voice is a little scratchy and rude,'' but it's a scene where you can enjoy the precious and flavorful singing voice. [Bonus: Halftime Show] A spectacular bonus video at the end of this work. This is a professional shot of the Super Bowl halftime show that appeared on "January 30, 2000". They sing "Two Worlds" in response to the movie's huge success, which is amazing. A giant statue of the goddess will be set up to match the image from the movie, and hundreds of cast members and an orchestra will perform, dressed in African tribal costumes. Phil appeared on a stage that looked like the closing ceremony of the Olympics. While singing passionately, a crane is lifted up in front of the statue of the goddess. In fact, the set is so flashy that it's hard to tell what the meaning of the crane is, but the revival of the Philharmonic and celebrity stardom at the time is depicted in a huge spectacle. Phil Collins had been away from chart hits since the 1990s. He made a sudden comeback with the movie ``Tarzan,'' which became a huge hit. This is a video collection where you can witness that moment. In one of the programs in this series, he says, ``Next time is finally 2000,'' but in reality, 19 years have passed since then. This year's December is the end of the year when we think about the passing Heisei era.
