He won a Golden Globe Award for his first leading role in the film ``Phil Collins in Buster,'' and ``...BUT SERIOUSLY'' was also No. 1 in the United States. The iconic video from 1990, which reigned at the top of the music scene, is now available in a two-version set. The symbolic video was shot at the “Berlin performance on July 15, 1990.” This is a multi-camera professional shot. Speaking of “SERIOUSLY, LIVE! Tour”, it is one of the largest world tours in Phil’s career, and it is also a memorable place because it has the most performances in Japan. In order to recall those memories, let's first look back at the schedule at that time.・February 18th: Appearance at BRIT Awards ・February 26th – March 9th: Japan (9 performances) ・March 13th – April 5th: Australia (16 performances) ・April 16th – May 24th Sunday: Europe #1 (32 performances) ・May 29th - June 25th: North America #1 (19 performances) ・June 30th - July 18th: Europe #2 (14 performances) ←★Here★・August 10th - October 3rd: North America #2 (43 performances) [“SERIOUSLY LIVE IN BERLIN” and “SERIOUS HITS... LIVE!” released in November] ・December 4th: Appearance at the Billboard Music Awards ・December 15th: Wetten, dass..?Performance This is Phil Collins in 1990. ``...BUT SERIOUSLY'' was released in November of the previous year, but the tour began with the Japan performance in the spring of the following year. After that, they toured extensively around the world with over 10 performances. The Berlin performance of this work was the 12th concert of “Europe #2”, which is the second half. This show was also the most famous night of the “SERIOUSLY, LIVE! Tour”. The reason for this is, of course, the image. It was shot with professional shots and officially released as the video work ``SERIOUSLY LIVE IN BERLIN''. Of course, due to the fate of video productions at the time, it was quickly discontinued, but it was released on DVD in 2003 with the same title as the live album, ``SERIOUS HITS... LIVE!''. However, the official DVD is now out of print, and even second-hand items come at a premium, and new items can cost tens of thousands of yen. This work is a 2-disc set with DISC 1 reprinting such out-of-print official footage in the highest quality, and DISC 2 featuring the Japanese broadcast version of the same professional shot. The visual beauty is absolutely perfect. Since it is an official work, it is natural that it is completely official, but the main character is Phil, who was at the peak of the scene. The production, which has a luxurious budget for both stage and recording, is the highest quality possible in 1990. What's more, the venue is a special outdoor stage, and it's good to start while the sun is still high. The sunlight brightly illuminates the stage from corner to corner, and also vividly shows off the spectacle in the audience seats. Moreover, as each song progresses, it turns into dusk and transforms into a fantastic light show. This is a video work that even utilizes natural sunlight in its production. The many hit songs that pushed Phil to the top of the scene are depicted with such gorgeous and fantastic visual beauty. In order to experience its splendor, let's organize the set here. Phil Collins III (7 songs)・Don't Lose My Number/Inside Out/Who Said I Would/Doesn't Anybody Stay Together Anymore/One More Night (★)/Sussudio (★)/Take Me Home (★) But Seriously (7 songs) Hang in Long Enough / Do You Remember? / Another Day in Paradise (★) / Saturday Night and Sunday Morning / That's Just the Way It Is / Something Happened on the Way to Heaven (★) /Colours Others (10 songs)・Night Whispers: Hand in Hand/In the Air Tonight・Door of the Heart: The West Side/You Can't Hurry Love・Others: Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now) ★) / Separate Lives / Two Hearts (★) / A Groovy Kind of Love / Easy Lover (★) / Always *Note: "★" marks are also included in the Japanese broadcast version of DISC 2. ...and it looks like this. DISC 1, which is a reprint of "SERIOUSLY LIVE IN BERLIN", is a full-scale 24-track, 2 hours and 41 minutes long, centered around the blockbuster hits "NO JACKET REQUIRED" and "...BUT SERIOUSLY", as well as various soundtracks. It also includes plenty of single songs. On the other hand, the Japanese broadcast version of DISC 2 has been narrowed down to a total of 10 songs for digest purposes. So, you might think that DISC 2 has no meaning, but that's not the case. This is a Phil special program that was broadcast on a certain satellite broadcasting station's famous program ``Western Music Live Legend'', and the unique program production is maniacally delicious. First of all, the most eye-catching thing is the commentary corner placed at the beginning of the program. Phil's career is told through a dandy narration by the familiar Mr. K○s Pepler. As expected, the member changes of GENESIS are not detailed... but on the contrary, Phil's position as a solo musician is easy to understand, and it also tells you the highlights of the show. Another point is the editing of the show itself. As mentioned above, the selection is somewhat focused on ballads, and the taste is quite different from the full show DISC 1. It also becomes the best BGV as a ballad best with video. The repeatedly postponed GENESIS reunion tour “THE LAST DOMINO?” has finally begun, and Phil Collins has returned to the scene. This work is a symbolic image of the era when he was at his most brilliant as a solo artist. The full version, DISC 1, is the highest version, and the Japan Broadcasting System version, DISC 2, focuses on ballads and makes you immerse yourself. Multi-camera professional shot of "July 15, 1990 Berlin Performance". This is a 2-disc set that combines DISC 1, a reprint of the out-of-print official video work ``SERIOUSLY LIVE IN BERLIN'' in the highest quality, and DSC 2, the Japan Broadcasting version of the same video. DISC 1 is completely official-quality and allows you to witness the full "SERIOUSLY, LIVE! Tour" that was the peak of his solo career, and DISC 2, which was broadcast mainly on ballads, is a masterpiece that can be enjoyed as BGV with a calm mood. This is a definitive album where you can fully enjoy the treasure trove of masterpieces that pushed Phil to the top of the scene.
