The ``MUDDY WATER BLUES'' era was the greatest success of the legendary singer's solo career. The out-of-print official video, which can be called the video version of that masterpiece, has been reprinted in the highest quality. The official video is “PAUL RODGERS IN COCNERT”. This is a multi-camera professional shot taken at the "May 19, 1993 San Francisco Performance". Speaking of “MUDDY WATERS BLUES TRIBUTE TOUR”, it is Paul’s first solo tour, and it is memorable because it was a long time since he performed in Japan. First of all, let’s check the show’s position from the schedule at that time. [“MUDDY WATER BLUES” released on March 27th] ・April 22nd - May 21st: North America #1a (15 performances) ←★Coco★ ・May 28th - August 24th: North America #1b (51 performances) Performances) ← *Official EP “THE HANDRIX SET” September 12th-21st: Japan (7 performances) October 12th-26th: Europe (11 performances) November 11th-December 1st: North America #2 (9 performances) [“PAUL RODGERS IN CONCERT” released on December 16th] This is Paul Rodgers in 1993. Above, the release date of "MUDDY WATER BLUES" is March, but this is an advance release in Japan. It was released on June 14th in Europe and America. The tour had started before that, and the San Francisco performance of this work is the 14th performance of “North America #1”, which is the beginning. It was also a concert about a month before the official live EP “THE HANDRIX SET”. As mentioned above, such a show was professionally photographed and turned into a work. It was released as "PAUL RODGERS IN COCNERT", but due to the fate of video works at the time, it went out of print in the blink of an eye. Since then, 28 years have passed without it ever being officially released on DVD, until now. It is a video that can be called a vision, but the content is so special that you can't believe the misfortune. That is the beauty of being able to declare it as Paul's "solo masterpiece" beyond the official/unofficial distinction. The original is an official work, and it is a reprint from the Japanese version laser disc, which was the world's best at the time. If you're paying attention to this article, I'm sure you've experienced some of our laser disc reprint series, and this one has also been converted to DVD in a high-end environment by a specialized overseas manufacturer. Even in today's digital world, the quality is "completely official" without any questions asked. However, the reason why I want to call it a “best masterpiece” is more than the quality of the show itself. The official EP “THE HENDRIX SET” from the same tour deliberately selected Jimi Hendrix songs, but this work is a video version of his solo biggest hit masterpiece “MUDDY WATER BLUES”. The meaning is clear from the selection, so let's take a look. Original (3 songs)・FREE: All Right Now/Feel Like Making Love・BAD COMPANY: Can't Get Enough Cover (9 songs)・MUDDY WATER BLUES: Good Morning Little School Girl/Standing Around Crying/Rollin' Stone/I Can't Be Satisfied (Brian Setzer) / Louisiana Blues (Trevor Rabin) / The Hunter (Slash) / Others: Little Wing / Rock Me Baby (Setzer & Rabin & Slash) / Crossroads (Setzer & Rabin & Slash) * Note: Guest guitarists are in (__). ...and it looks like this. Although not all songs of "MUDDY WATER BLUES" are reproduced, there is no point in reproducing them only in cover albums. Rather, the set that concentrates the essence and includes the FREE/BAD COMPANY repertoire is too delicious. And the performance is also great. The key to the backing band is Neal Schon, who also participated in the album, and to put it bluntly, it's "HARDLINE sung by Paul." Todd Jensen and Dean Castronovo are not only great players, but they were also regulars at the time, so they have excellent breathing. “MUDDY WATER BLUES” had a good taste in playing the blues with a sharp rock-like performance, and this work also has that taste throughout the whole story. Another highlight of “MUDDY WATER BLUES” was the guest guitarist. This work is perfect in this respect as well. As expected, it is impossible to have as diverse a lineup as the album, but Brian Setzer, Trevor Rabin of YES at the time, and Slash (skinny!) who was still in GUNS N’ ROSES at the time also participated. Each of them appears with the songs they played on the album, but they also play the final two songs, “Rock Me Baby” and “Crossroads.” You can enjoy a super luxurious feast by four guitar heroes, including Neil Schon. ``MUDDY WATER BLUES'' is a masterpiece among Paul's solo albums. This is a reprint of the official video version in the world's highest quality. Truly the best solo masterpiece by the rock world's best blues singer. DVD of the out-of-print official video "PAUL RODGERS IN COCNERT". A multi-camera professional shot of the "May 19, 1993 San Francisco performance", the highest quality version ever reprinted from the Japanese version of LD at the time. Not only Paul's singing voice singing blues standards on the stage where he achieved the greatest success in his solo career, but also the solid HARDLINE backing with Neal Schon at the core. Brian Setzer, Trevor Rabin, and Slash also appeared as guests on this album, which is called ``MUDDY WATER BLUES''. Great American Music Hall, San Francisco, CA, USA 19th May 1993 PRO-SHOT (68:42) 1.
