"MTV UNPLUGGED", in which Paul McCartney appeared in 1991, assumed that a bootleg would be released from the beginning, and a live album was released under the name "OFFICIAL BOOTLEG" shortly after the TV broadcast. However, the video was never released as software, and as a result, even though it contained fewer songs than the album, the value of the TV video did not decrease. Because of this, boot videos that copied the broadcasts in the United States were useful at the time, but surprisingly, in 1991, the unedited version of the footage was leaked, and the entire picture was revealed, regardless of the image quality. It's gone. However, as usual with leaked videos, the image quality is inferior to the broadcast version. Thanks to this, the value of the broadcast version continues to remain, and only four songs were included in the masterpiece video software "PAUL McCARTNEY ANTHOLOGY" released a few years ago. In the end, TV broadcasting in Japan did not materialize until 1991, and in the summer of the following year, it suddenly became possible to broadcast the program on a satellite broadcasting station in Japan. Many enthusiasts can record this and have their own master quality version! I was so excited, but when it finally aired, it was much more fulfilling than it was when it was broadcast in 1991. In other words, everyone was surprised by the broadcast content, which was a far cry from the previous year's simple adaptation of MTV. First of all, it had more songs than the MTV version. This alone made Japanese enthusiasts very happy, but Paul's interview inserted in between was also really interesting. This was done after the release of "OFFICIAL BOOTLEG" and also as a promotion. So, how did you appear on "MTV UNPLUGGED" and why did you go on a gig tour only in Europe? Paul answers questions such as these, and Paul's answers are all surprisingly honest. He reveals his honest feelings as a musician, saying, ``I prefer gigs to going to stadiums.'' What's more, Paul is incredibly candid about the bootlegs that led to the release of ``OFFICIAL BOOTLEG'', saying, ``I don't care about audience recording or bootlegging,'' and even ``I don't care about the Grateful Dead's tape trader.'' He said, ``I empathize with you,'' and then went so far as to confess that ``I myself have gone to see Stevie Wonder live and recorded it.'' In this way, it is a famous Japanese broadcast that was not just a reuse of overseas broadcasts, but of course there are many enthusiasts who recorded it themselves. However, the video master provided by the enthusiast for this release is in amazing condition. There is no tracking disturbance due to aging and the freshness is excellent. It was actually released 10 years ago due to Japanese Broadcast, but it's a great quality that easily shrugs it off. ``MTV UNPLUGGED'' is one of Paul's most popular live performances in the 1990s, and includes a wealth of repertoire that has never been performed live.
