From the 1993 "THW NEW WORLD TOUR" Tokyo performance, this must-have DVD features high-quality professional shots of the sound check live at Tokyo Dome on November 14th and 15th, and the main live performance on the 15th. This famous broadcast take was broadcast in the form of a digest of the sound check and the actual performance, and was broadcast with slightly different content on commercial broadcasting, pay satellite broadcasting, and high-definition test broadcasting, but the content of the main program is almost the same. This edition includes the version that was aired on pay satellite broadcasting on December 25, 1993, as part of "The Beatles 17-hour Special," titled "Paul McCartney Special," from the recorded video master at the time, including the opening title, nearly 10 minutes of MC, and even the outro part centered on the 4-minute MC. The image quality is recorded in such high quality that it is comparable to the DVD "Always Cm," which is highly acclaimed as the highest quality ever, and this version, which is made like a long version of the DVD, will surprise many enthusiasts. As you know, the first 50 minutes are the sound check live on the 14th and 15th, which was only shown in front of a limited number of spectators who had obtained expensive special tickets, and the high-quality performance in front of a deserted audience, just like the real thing on a large venue stage, is worth watching and listening to. In addition to the fans who had purchased the expensive tickets, the audience included rockabilly-style dancers arranged by the station as extras, and a group of students who looked like they were on a school trip, perhaps because they wanted to create the image of innocent children. The students looked simple, but the sight of a group of people dancing wildly in rockabilly fashion in the empty aisles of the audience was a strange mismatch no matter how you look at it, and this unnecessary direction and editing made it a bit frustrating for some viewers, as they were unable to concentrate on Paul and the others' historic performance. However, setting aside the TV station's direction, Paul's performance at this time was wonderful, and the performance with the acoustic band, which could be heard in the main part of the live performance, was simply the best. One of the highlights is The Long and Winding Road on the 14th, which was highly acclaimed as one of the best performances despite being a rehearsal live performance. The second half is about 30 minutes of eight songs from the stage on the 15th, the final day in Tokyo. The editing that connects the rehearsal the day before Let Me Roll It to the main live performance is superb. Not only is the live performance amazing, but the video is also superb, allowing you to enjoy Paul's Tokyo performance exactly 20 years ago in a truly high-quality video. Historically, this is an extremely important video, so much so that it is beyond comparison, and this disc, which is the entire TV broadcast itself, is definitely a must-have for all fans. It is a truly high-quality planned program, and it is no exaggeration to say that the fact that such a program was produced and aired (even though it was the beginning of the bubble collapse period) symbolizes the strength of Japan in this era.
