“FRESHEN UP” ended 2018 in their home country. A masterpiece original recording and video series that conveys the three performances in the UK is now available. A definitive set of full live albums and complete videos that utilize the masters given to us by the recorders/photographers for all performances. It is a trilogy that will run through three UK performances with only hidden treasures unique to this series that cannot be found anywhere on the internet. The second installment of the luxurious New Year's series is the "Glasgow performance on December 14, 2018." Like the Liverpool performance/London performance, it is a 4-disc set with audience recording + audience shot. We will leave the whole tour view to the explanation of "LIVERPOOL 2018" on the first day, but here we will zoom in and check the progress after the Japan performance. ・October 31st - November 8th: Japan (4 performances) ・November 28th - December 6th: Europe (5 performances) ・December 12th: "LIVERPOOL 2018" ・December 14th: Glasgow performance [This work] December 16th: “LONDON 2018” [Disc 1-3: Full audience recording] The first thing that appears is a 3-disc set of full audience recording. This is really amazing. In fact, this work may be the best in the trilogy in terms of sound quality. Actually, it is an original master by the same Japanese recording artist as the live album version of “LIVERPOOL 2018” on the first day, but it is wonderfully clear and neat. The core that jumps into the thick bone and meat is clear, and there is plenty of response. That characteristic also applies to “LIVERPOOL 2018,” but in the Glasgow performance, the atmosphere is even more transparent, perhaps because of the difference in position or the venue acoustics. You can understand the nuances of picking on the guitar and bass, and the sound of the horn is also exquisite. The bass vibe is emphasized in the first few songs, so it doesn't reach the ideal image, but that quickly improves. By the time we get to “Who Cares,” it has become glossy and beautiful. The sound has clear outlines, and the gaps between instruments stand out, creating a three-dimensional effect. The show drawn with such a sound is reminiscent of the second day at Tokyo Dome. The key point is that the songs change daily, and in Glasgow they feature ``Can't Buy Me Love'' and ``We Can Work It Out,'' which were not played in Liverpool/London. When these two songs are together, it feels like the second day of Tokyo Dome. Of course, this is my home country of England. "Dance Tonight" and "Wonderful Christmastime" were not performed during the Japanese performance, and "Birthday", which was a surprise in Japan, has become a standard. The British standard set is firmly maintained. [Disc 4: Full Audience Shot] Following such a full live album is the best full video. This is also really amazing. This is also an audience shot by the same Japanese as the video version of “LIVERPOOL 2018” and “LONDON 2018”, but the position is completely different. In Liverpool/London, the angle was from a distance, but in this work, it is completely changed and it is very close! The photo was taken from slightly to the right of the center of the arena, making it a special seat where you can see "Paul is right there" even without zooming. Since the seats are in the arena, the shadows of the seats in front are reflected, and there are some scenes, especially in the beginning, that make you scratch your head, but only for a short time. Once the excitement at the start of the show subsided, the field of view widened dramatically, and at the same time the camera work became more stable. From around “Can’t Buy Me Love” you can taste the taste of special seats, and by the time you get to “Who Cares” it becomes a spectacular view where you can see Paul’s appearance directly with the naked eye. I'm also afraid that I'll try zooming. Even though it's so close that you feel like you're "there," by zooming in closer you can see the expressions and hands perfectly. Since you are not looking down on the distant view from the stands, there are many opportunities to make eye contact with the pole, and you can look directly at it. When this happens, the experience of the show is amazing. The distant view with no obstructions is wonderful, but the feeling of "gazing out" is undeniable. On the other hand, this work synchronizes with the psychology of people on the scene who want to get as close as possible to Paul, and ends up "staring" without realizing it. Their ability to concentrate on their every move and the sense of immersion in each song is unparalleled, and it makes you feel like you're truly experiencing the place. What enhances the experience even more is the superb audio. Actually, the biggest drawback of this audience shot was the audio. It wasn't bad, but I was soaking up the excitement from the arena seats. In particular, the full recordings on discs 1-3 were so amazing that I couldn't deny that the listening quality was poor when I put them together as a set. Therefore, this disc synchronizes the best recordings of discs 1-3. It has been raised to a super quality suitable for a wonderful complete video. This is not just about "good sound." The sound on discs 1-3 is so clear and on that you can't get a sense of distance from the sound alone. That's why it fits perfectly with the close-up view from the arena, and does not spoil the experience. Both the recording and photography are masterpieces, but when combined they bring out double or triple synergistic effects. This trilogy spans 12 discs in total, but the video version of this work is the best. A trilogy of British tours written with original masters that are not available on the internet or elsewhere. This is the second installment, the Glasgow edition. Although it is a Glasgow performance with a modest impression sandwiched between the hometown performance of Liverpool and London where the co-starring with Ringo & Ronnie was realized, it is a 4-disc set that overwhelms the other two performances in terms of quality and experience. More than just a valuable Japanese record, it is the core of a trilogy that is exquisite in all three ways.
