A very popular series! The strongest reinforcement board of PIPES OF PEACE is here! On Christmas Eve 1980, Paul was surprised to receive a phone call from Michael Jackson, a young man who had become a star with "Off the Wall," and was told, "Let's make a hit song together." It all started with this one phone call. B-side songs, demo recordings, 12-inch versions, promo edit versions, etc. are all recorded on the finest soundboards! This series is very popular for its excellent cost performance! Many people collect the complete set. How about you too? CD 1 12: Ode to a Koala Bear - Released on October 3, 1983 as the B-side of "Say Say." 13: Twice in a Lifetime - Recorded on March 14, 1985 with Paul, Eric Stewart, and Martin Chambers (Pretenders). The sax is thought to have been added by Andy Mackay of Roxy Music. It was intended to be the theme song for a film directed by Budd Yorkin and starring Gene Hackman, but was left unused. 14: The Girl Is Mine - A duet between Michael and Paul, based on an idea by Quincy Jones. First released as a single on 18 October 1982 and on Michael Jackson's Thriller album on 30 November. 15: It's Not On - A demo recorded by Paul and Denny Laine at Park Gate Studios, 38 Mount Street, Catsfield, East Sussex, in August 1980. 16: Simple as That - Unrelated to the track of the same name recorded by Paul during the Press To Play sessions. 17: Christian Bop - Recorded at International Christian Community Studios, Eastbourne, Sussex, in August 1981. Mixed 11 November 1981. 18: On the Wings of a Nightingale - Demo written for a reformed Everly Brothers. Recorded around October 1983. 19 - 23: The Unbelievable Experience - Further demos from the same period. Not officially released. CD 2 1-3: Parkgate Studios demos from August 1980. 4: Say Say - Special Version - Remixed by John "Jellybean" Benitez, released on a 12" vinyl single. 5: Say Say Say - Instrumental - "Say Say Say", featured on the 12" vinyl single, was written mostly by Michael Jackson after jamming with Paul. The next day, Paul helped him work out the lyrics. Recording began in May 1981 as acoustic demos at AIR Studios in London. In April 1982, Michael recorded a new demo with studio musicians in Los Angeles. Paul liked this version so much that he only added vocals in February 1983. After releasing "Thriller" and most of its singles, "Say Say Say" was released on October 3rd 1983. 6 : Ode to a Koala Bear - Alternate mix, Paul sings "Koala style bear" instead of "Koala type bear". Released in Australia on the 7" of "Say Say Say". 7 : Pipes of Peace - single edit - Released on December 5th 1983 as the second single in the UK from "Pipes of Peace". This edit was also included on "All The Best!" released on November 2nd 1987. In the US, "So Bad" was the A-side. 8: That'll Be The Day - A cover of Buddy Holly, recorded live with Tracey Ullman for the TV show Aspel & Company on June 7, 1984. 9: The Girl Is Mine - Original demo recording by Michael Jackson recorded in 1980 or 1981 at Allen Zenz Studios in Los Angeles with engineer John Van Nest. This version does not feature any participation from Paul. Released on January 25, 2008 as a CD single, "The Girl is Mine 2008". 10: The Girl Is Mine - 'New Edited Promo' - A 9 second edit of the US promo for the album/single version. 11: The Girl Is Mine 2008 with will.i.am - In November 2007, Black Eyed Peas singer William Damus remixed Jackson's demo, adding his own vocals and a new verse with the help of Keith Harris. This "new edit" was released on January 25, 2008 to promote the album Thriller 25. Album description The concept for this album had been decided to some extent during the previous recording, and it was originally planned to be released as a two-disc set with Tug of War, but the record company was reluctant to release it as a standalone. After finishing the recording of Tug of War at the end of 1981, Paul took a few weeks off, and in January of the following year he recorded new songs for this album in a studio in London. He then spent time on finishing touches such as remixing the previous album and promoting it, and resumed recording in September of the same year. Recording took a long time, until January 1983. It was originally scheduled to be released in March, but the release date was significantly delayed because McCartney was busy with filming and other work at the time. George Martin produced the album as he did with the previous album, "Tug of War," and the recording members were almost the same. In this album, he collaborated with Michael Jackson, who had become a superstar due to the worldwide success of "Thriller," on "Say Say Say" and "The Man." "Say Say Say" was released as a single and became a huge hit, reaching number one in the US and number two in the UK. He also collaborated with Stanley Clarke on "Hey Hey." Recorded at Abbey Road Studio, AIR Studio & Other Studios.
